Pack bags and leave rooms on Saturday morning Ski during the day on Saturday Quick shower and dinner Leave at approximately 17.00 Breakfast on the Ferry Drop Stanchester off at Cartgate services approximately 13.00. Return to HCC at 14.00.
The Schosser is a friendly bed and breakfast situated in the village of Fusch. We are staying opposite the road in the farm house. The Zell am See ski area is just 20 minutes away by coach. Beginners will ski on the nursery slope in Fusch on the first day.
Dormitory style rooms (2-4s). All rooms have en-suite shower and washbasin. Other facilities include a dining room/recreation room and drying area.
Breakfast in the Schosser Hot chocolate, tea, coffee, fresh bread rolls, boiled eggs, cheese, ham, salami, jam, chocolate spread. Lunch 2 rolls (ham, cheese, salami). 1 carton of drink, 1 piece of fruit, 1 chocolate bar. Bring snacks to keep you going. You can also buy snacks from the garage in Fusch. Evening meal Soup, main and pudding. Mains include: Spaghetti bolognaise, chicken and chips, beef stroganoff and rice, Roast potatoes and pork chops in gravy.

Exercises- first day on nursery slope, second day on blue run up the mountain. By day 6- black and red runs, bumps, 360 0 turns, slalom and skiing from the top to the bottom of the mountain. Skied in Zell am See and Schmittenhohe (The Sunny Side).

Injuries occur half way through the week because you legs are sore, you are unfit and tired. Use the gym Work on your legs Build up the muscular endurance in your legs E.g.- A circuit three times a week that include stations such as squats against the wall, sit ups, step ups (on the stairs, the plank, tricep dips, spotty dogs. 30 seconds in the first week, 40 or 60 seconds the next and build the time up. We will also do some sessions in the power room at a lunchtime once a week after Christmas. You also need to make sure you eat!

Pocket money - 40-60 in Euros you will need money for food on the way out and on the journey back. You might also want to buy some souvenirs on the last day in Zell Am See We have lunch on the Saturday in a restaurant so money is needed for that. It might also be a good idea to bring a card to get your group to sign to say thank you to your instructor?

In the event of an emergency - such as fire, injury, illness or accident, a member of staff must be informed immediately.
