Good readers stop and think about what they are reading. Active reading helps readers understand the ideas. The team leader chooses two men to climb to the top. He chooses Tenzing and Hillary. Stop and think: Why do you think that the team leader chooses Tenzing and Hillary? On May 28, the two men climb to 27,900 feet (8,504 metres). They rest on a ledge and shiver. It is -32 C.
