GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS RESERVATION & BOOKING Reservations must be submitted via email to info@divetioman.com Reservations are only guaranteed once we confirm it via email and once the deposit has been paid PAYMENT TERMS A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking (minimum of MYR 400.00 per person) The balance can be paid upon arrival on Tioman Island CANCELLATION POLICY Initial deposit (30%) is non-refundable but can be used towards your next dive trip if cancellation/postponement notice is received via email at least 2 weeks (14 days) in advance UNUSED SERVICES There will be no refund if a customer decides not to utilize the dives/services included in the package CONDITIONS FOR DIVING Leisure diving packages can only be offered to already certified divers All guests will be required to sign a Liability/Release Form (Waiver) upon arrival and abide by all diving and safety rules of the dive center/resort WEATHER CONDITIONS We operate diving from February until late November and the weather is generally very nice throughout the season with average air temperatures of 32 C and average water temperatures of 28 C Weather conditions for scuba diving can t be predicted even for the best season FORCE MAJEURE We will not be liable in whole or in part by any cause beyond our control due to fire, flood, weather, strikes or other labor disputes, shortage of materials, transportation difficulties, accident, war, riot, acts of God or change of laws. USEFUL INFORMATION TIOMAN ISLAND: Tioman Island is the biggest and most impressive island on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The island is some 35km long and covered densely in one of the oldest rain forests. It s just begging to be explored and is habitat for a large variety of flora and fauna. The main attractions on Tioman are scuba diving and snorkeling plus rainforest trekking Dive sites around the famous Coral Island are renowned for their healthy coral reefs and abundance of marine life. Travel distance to the dive sites from our centers is between 5min and 30min Diving season: Early February to late November Best visibility (15m to 25m): March to June and September to November o Diving is still fantastic during the summer peak season (June - August), but the underwater visibility is usually reduced to approximately 8m to 15m ACCOMMODATION & RESORT LOCATION Budget and Standard packages are based on resorts NOT owned and operated by B&J. o We have no influence whatsoever on the room cleanliness and functionality o Rooms under these categories might be very basic o We will book a room for you based on multiple resorts in either Air Batang Bay or Salang Bay based on availability Tioman Dive Resort (TDR) is owned and operated by B&J and provides the nicest and cleanest rooms MEALS Meals are not included except for a local lunch that is provided during our boat day trips There are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance from the resorts offering local and western cuisine with the highlight being fresh seafood BBQ ELECTRICITY Electrical outlet is 220 Volt AC, 50 cycles using three rectangular prongs similar to British plugs INTERNET We are offering free WiFi internet service for our customers at our dive centers There is no WiFi internet available in your hotel room because the signal strength is too weak Internet connection on the island is generally slow and can t be guaranteed TRANSPORTATION Please check-out our getting here website page where you find all useful information including links to bus/ferry companies.
