Note from the Director As we give SuperCash! a little glory this month, we look back on the 26 years the game has been in existence. In 1991, a six number game was created using a matrix of 36 numbers which had a jackpot prize amount of $250,000. Fast forward to year 2005 when SuperCash! receives a facelift, not only with the logo but also with numbers drawn. It increased from 36 to 39 numbers and the jackpot jumped to $350,000. This month we make our way up north to Tomahawk in Lincoln County. According to the Tomahawk Historical Society, the city was literally carved out of the wilderness. It was officially founded in 1886 by William H. Bradley when logging camps, sawmills and a dam were built. Homes, stores, other businesses and railroad service soon followed. Today, Tomahawk has transitioned to become an area with many diverse businesses and a strong tourism industry. Our Lottery Retailer of the Month, Tomahawk BP, is in business to take care of the local community and the tourists. Though recently under new ownership, manager Jim Charles has been in place over twenty years and other employees have been with the store 12-14 years. With all this experience, Jim and his team have steadily grown the business and they have a reputation for treating customers like family. Jim compares the locals to the meat and potatoes of the business and the tourists to the gravy! With a restaurant and carwash connected to the BP store, this location is a busy place. As the store business has grown, so has the Lottery business. They carry seventeen facings of instant scratch tickets with Crossword being the most popular. 4-Digit Scratch Tickets Cashing Scratch Tickets Just Got Easier! New Secure Shield technology is coming to Wisconsin Lottery scratch tickets. June 2017 4 Starting in July, 2017, The Wisconsin Lottery will begin launching new scratch tickets with 4-digit game numbers. These games will feature new Secure Shield barcodes. Here s what retailers need to know about the new tickets: - There will be a transition period of several months when both 3-digit games and 4-digit games will be launched. The 3-digit games will validate on the terminals the same as they do today and they will gradually be replaced with 4-digit games as they sell out. - To validate tickets with 4-digit game numbers, reveal the Secure Shield barcode on the front of the ticket under the latex and scan with the terminal barcode scanner. - Validating the new tickets with 4-digit game numbers no longer requires the clerk to enter the 3-digit box numbers. In fact, these tickets do not have box numbers. - Starting May 14, 2017 winning scratch tickets with a prize value of $51 - $599 will prompt for the clerk to approve the transaction before paying the player. Winning tickets over $599 will still need to be redeemed at the Madison or Milwaukee Lottery office. Players can check their tickets on the Ticket Checker located in the store. If a player scans the back of the ticket they will be prompted to turn the ticket over and scan the Secure Shield barcode on the front. Secure Shield

LLL is Retailer Training available all the time in your web browser. Terminal simulations, audio, video, and real-world scenarios give you the full training experience, delivered at your own pace. Once a person you authorize has completed the training program online, your store can print a certificate. AND, you or anyone you permit may sign in and take the course as often as you wish. Important Contract Reminders POSTING CASHING LIMITS: Consistent with your contract, you are asked (when reasonable) to pay all winning tickets up to $599. If your store has a TICKET CASHING POLICY for paying out less than $599, please post this information for players. Winners tend to tell friends where they won and will spend some or all of their winnings in your store. EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: The contract, in Section 2.0, states: (11) Retailer shall use all equipment required by the lottery. The contract also states that this equipment is not to be removed, defaced, or used for purposes other than those established by the Lottery. Lottery equipment includes: GT1200 Terminal, Ultra Printer, Lottoview, and Ticket Checker. The Lottoview displays transaction information, validation amounts, winning numbers, amber/silver alerts, game-specific messages and real-time jackpot amounts for the players so it is important to have the Lottoview facing the players.
June 2017 6 One lucky Megabucks player matched all six numbers in the Saturday, April 29 drawing to win the $3.5 million top prize. Saturday's winning Megabucks numbers were 5, 19, 26, 35, 40 and 41. The player purchased their winning ticket at Port Of Call Liquor at 918 West Boulevard in Racine. Retailers receive a 2% incentive of the winning ticket amount up to $100,000. The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize in person at the Lottery's Madison office. Megabucks is Wisconsin's very own lotto game. Drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday night. Currently the Megabucks jackpot is estimated at $1 million. HOW TO PLAY 1. Choose six (6) different numbers from 1 to 49.
