Off the Track Thoroughbred Show Horse Series Ridden classes This series is being run by the New Zealand Hack and Pony Council (nzhpc). 1. Each horse wishing to register must complete a registration form with the following: a. Proof of registration in a recognised thoroughbred stud book b. Current RAS height Certificate. c. Show name d. Race name e. Breeding information: Sire, Dam f. Brand g. Category (raced*/ unraced) *to have had a race day start 2. To register, complete form (found on fb page), email information to nzhackandpony@gmail.com and make payment of $10 registration fee (account details on registration form). 3. Each horse (if accepted) will be given a series number, registration card and entered into the NZTR OTT Show Horse Series database. 4. Categories: a. Unraced thoroughbred up to 2 ridden seasons in the show ring b. Unraced thoroughbred 3 ridden seasons and over in the show ring c. Raced* thoroughbred up to 2 ridden seasons in the show ring d. Raced* thoroughbred 3 ridden seasons and over in the show ring 5. Each show has the right to invite a non RAS judge to officiate these special classes if they see fit. The person/persons invited will have knowledge and experience in the thoroughbred industry. 6. Competitors/horses can attend as many shows as they choose out of the 10 qualifying shows. 7. Judges will be required to judge the class 60% conformation, 40% paces and manners. Horse to be of show quality. 8. To be judged on the circle and/or individual basic workout to be completed at the judge s discretion. 9. Points accumulated for series are as follows: a. 1 st = 8 points b. 2 nd = 5 points c. 3 rd = 3 points d. 4 th = 1 point 10. Accumulated points will result in an overall winner in each category. 11. Results database will be updated after each show and competitors will find leader board on https://www.facebook.com/nztrottshowhorseseries/timeline 12. At the end of the season, category winners will be presented with overall high points ribbon, dress rug, trophy and prize money to the value of $1,000.00 13. In the event of a tie, winners of each category will be determined by (at the conclusion of the season): a. number of wins b. then by number of seconds c. then by number of thirds d. If still equal then a tie is awarded and the category winnings will be shared between the winners 2
