SAFETY INFORMATION The main advantage of the TJD elevator platform is that you do not have to climb the tree to install it. All assembly operations are on the ground and on the platform itself. You must wear a safety harness and a fall arrest device when you leave the ground. The harness and equipment must be used according to manufacturer's recommendations. Seat belts and chest harnesses are not allowed and must never be used. ATTENTION: This symbol in the owner's manual indicates that a safety message follows. When you see it, carefully read all instructions, because there is the possibility for serious injury or death. Not following these recommendations can cause serious injury or death. The elevator is not a piece of safety equipment in itself, but a device to lift one person up a suitable tree. The elevator must be used in a safe environment and the user must minimize risks with safety devices. The following safety instructions are to counter risks associated with hunting from a high chair. ATTENTION: You must read all safety instructions before using the TJD elevator platform. In order to reduce the risk of accidents you must read and understand all safety instructions and instructional documents included in this manual. I you are unsure about anything contained in these documents or if you have questions related to TJD products, stop and communicate with the TJD Customer Service Department for help at 1-877-863-5885. The elevator platform must be used to allow a hunter to hunt from an elevated position and for no other purposes. The installation must be carried out by an adult of 18 years of age and older. The use of the platform must be supervised by an adult if you are not 18 years old. Never use the platform when you are impaired due to fatigue, alcohol, drugs, prescription or nonprescription drugs. Before each use, carefully inspect your elevator platform and the ratchet straps. Use the product only when it is in perfect condition. Ensure not to exceed the maximum load of 159 kg (350 lbs) of the person and equipment. Check that the cables that support the platform do not have broken strands at the ends. Assure yourself that all nuts, bolts, cables and belts are well tightened. Be sure not to wear clothing that can easily be caught in the platform and cause a fall. Tell someone where you are hunting and how long you expect to hunt. Provide certain people with signs of life at regular intervals by cell phone or other means. 4 / 16

Always carry a cell phone, radio, whistle, flare or Personal Location Devise (PLD) when you use this product. Always keep the signalling device on your person and ready to use at all times. Keep the instructions in a safe place and review them annually. Provide the instructions to anyone who may borrow or purchase the equipment so as to relieve the owner of any responsibility. Never leave this platform on a tree after the hunting season, or when the weather is such that it can damage it. Always inspect a platform that was unattended before its use. Factors such as tree growth, vandals, weather conditions, and animals can also affect the performance of an unattended platform. Failure to follow these instructions will void the warranty and may cause serious injury or even death. 5 / 16

Install the seat with two bolts. 99WD-100 99WD-200 Install the crank tether. Check that everything pivots freely and fold for easy transport. (N/A on model 99WD-200) 9 / 16

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION To install the platform select the straightest and healthiest tree possible, with at least 25 cm (10 inches) of diameter at the stump. Remove the branches from the tree to be able to attach a rail evenly. Lay the elevator and the platform on the ground. Unfold the platform (N/A For 99WD-200). Stand on the platform (N/A For 99WD-200). Straighten the elevator vertically. Note that for ease of transport the platform and the elevator are folded together. Place the rail in the elevator by stepping on the brake with one foot while cranking in order to engage the caster guides of the rail in the worm gear. ATTENTION! Be sure to close the pivoting claws inward to eliminate the risk of contact with the elevator when you insert the latter. The force generated by the worm gear is sufficient to damage the claws without you noticing it. Press with your foot on the brake pedal to disengage the brake Claws closed Claws open Push the rail against the tree approximately 60 cm (24") from the ground and install a ratchet strap to hold it in place and then install a second strap. Put on your safety harness with two tethers equipped with a fall arrest device. Install a restraining belt around the tree over the rail. Attach a tether to the restraining belt. Always have you two (2) hands on the crank before disengage the brake. Stand on the platform with two additional rails, the ratchet straps, and the second restraining belt. At the front of the tree, put the crank in the 14 mm hexagonal end and install the platform near the top of the rail, at around 100mm (4 ) from the top, while simultaneously pressing on the brake release pedal. Remove the branches from the tree to be able to attach the second rail, claws open, evenly on the tree. Install the second ratchet belt at arm's length and attach your second tether. Remove your first tether and the restraining belt in order to install the second rail on the tree. 10 / 16

Insert the base of the second rail into the top of the first so that the locking snaps are properly engaged. Push toward the inside with the thumb and index finger to lock the rail Attach the second rail with ratchet straps. Follow the same process to install additional rails. Your platform is now ready for the hunt.. Safety brake lever Straps IMPORTANT: Always remain attached with your harness and tether until you are back on the ground. Never hunt when the platform is at a height where you are not comfortable. Depending on the tree and the hunting conditions, choose the maximum height that will allow you to hunt safely and effectively. Ensure to properly engage the safety brake under the seat. 11 / 16

USE ATTENTION! You must read all safety instructions before using the TJD elevator platform. In order to reduce the risks of accidents you must read and understand all safety instructions and the instructional documents included in this manual. ATTENTION! Safety belts and chest harnesses are no longer permitted and must no longer be worn. Inspect your safety equipment and the elevator platform to ensure that they are in perfect condition and functioning properly before every use. When you are ready to go up: Put on your safety harness with two tethers equipped with a fall arrest device. Step on the platform. Install a restraining belt at arm's length around the tree. Attach a tether to the restraining belt. From the front of the tree, maintain firmly the crank with your two (2) hands and disengage the brake. Turn the crank to move up to the restraining belt. Install a second restraining belt at arm's length around the tree and the rail. Attach the second tether to the upper restraining belt. Detach the tether from the lower restraining belt and remove it. Repeat these steps with the belts and tethers to reach the maximum height for the hunt. Once at that height, engage the safety hand brake under the seat by pulling it toward the front. Safety hand brake Engage Disengage ATTENTION! Keep a minimum distance of 100 mm (4 inches) between the top of the elevator and the top of the last rail. 12 / 16

When you are ready to go down: Install a restraining belt in a low position and attach a second tether to that belt. Detach the tether from the high position and remove the restraining belt. Disengage the safety hand brake by pushing the lever to the self-locking point. Standing at the front of the tree, install the crank and maintain it firmly with your two (2) hands, at the same time, press with your foot on the brake pedal to disengage the brake. Push toward the inside with the thumb and index finger to unlock the rail Repeat the previous steps until you reach the ground. 13 / 16

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE Check the following points after each use: Check that the welding beads are not cracked. Check that the locking snaps on the rails do not show excessive wear. Clean any traces of corrosion and apply grease. Check that the worm gear is lubricated with Vaseline for quiet operation. Check that the rail caster guides are not damaged by pivoting the cylindrical roller bearings. Check that the heel brake and the worm gear emergency hand brake function well and that there is no visible excessive wear. Repair or replace damaged parts. Store the equipment in a dry area where there is no danger that the mechanical parts will be damaged. Before using the equipment, go through the above checklist again. 14 / 16
