Gully cricket competition Source: cheatsplay.com Rules: Each team comprises 6 players 5 over per team. One over consists of 6 balls and one bowler can bowl only one over Sixer is not allowed. Direct hit over the boundary will be given out Under arm throw bowling only. One player can play only for one team No free hit. Full toss is No ball. 1 bounce 1 hand catch will be given out Leg-byes and byes are not allowed, remaining cricket rules will be applicable as usual. Team should bring their bats. In case of a tie, winner will be decided by super over. Super over will consist of 1 over in which the team scoring maximum runs will win. Sledging is strictly prohibited. Umpire decision will be final. Any argument with the umpire or any of the officials will lead to immediate disqualification. No host college students will participate in this event. Any of the above rules can be changed or amended as per the requirement of the situation. In any circumstances, the decision by the coordinator will be final and binding to everyone. Ad mad competition Source: Youtube AD MAD Show is an 'Advertisement Making Competition' for students to showcase their creativity in Marketing products and services. It comprises of humorous & conceptual ad presentation by the students. Students will act out on various advertisement script and ideas relevant for different sectors including FMCG product, while goods, services, automobiles and social awareness etc. All the teams will be given a time frame to showcase their talent. Rules: A team comprises of maximum 4 members. The teams will be judged on following criterion o Advertisement s content How humorous it is. o Expressions o The presenter s fluency Screening Round: Keep Thinking Marketing o In this round 1, the participants will have to come prepared from home & present an advertisement for a product/service of their choice. o Time allowed to present your prepared ad will be max. 3 minutes. o The ad prepared by the contestant must not contain any obscene words/any subject that hurts the feelings of a culture/language/religion/region. o Negative marking for any disobedience of rules. Final Round: Impromptu o The selected top 10 teams will be competing in this round. o In this round certain products or name of services will be given and the teams have to prepare an advertisement for it. o 20 minutes will be given to each team for preparation. o Time limit for presenting: 3 Minutes Participation fee is Rs. 50/ participant for all Games (refundable) The decision of the judge will be final and abiding on all participants. Counter Strike: Rules Source: counter-strike-condition-zero.en.softonic.com Rules: College ID-card is compulsory for registering in this event The Half-Life Counter-Strike PC game championship 4x4 (team play, 4 members per team). Game version - Counter-Strike condition zero A game consists of 2 periods, each period including 4 rounds. A round lasts 3:00 minutes. One period as terrorists and the other as counter-terrorists for each team. In the incident of a tie, there will be a tie breaker match In the tournament, maps are to be chosen at the discretion of the event coordinator If a team is not present on the tournament server at the start of the scheduled time, the other team chooses the side (CT or T). Team members may not communicate (speak) when he or she is "dead" in the game. The only exception is when all team members are eliminated in the game. Only the team captains are allowed to send public messages (messagemode1 or "y") during the game. The rest of the players are not allowed to use messagemode1; failure to meet this rule would lead to team penalties. The players can send team messages (messagemode2 or "u") during the match, only if the captain dies. The Tournament Organizers reserves the right to cancel or modify the tournament rules if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond reasonable control, impairs the integrity of the tournament. Rangoli competition Sprinkle the earth with colour and make it come alive! Source: homemakeover.in Rangoli is a traditional art work which forms an intrinsic part of India. This art is followed exclusively in India and is used during all important festivals and occasions. It has different names in different parts of the country and has a variety of themes and patterns. Themes for the event: 1. Festival theme 2. Incredible India 3. Natural beauty 4. Abstract theme 5. Logo rangoli Rules All the participants are required to bring their own materials - colours, grains, decorations etc. with them. Single participation or in the group of maximum 04 members will be allowed. The participants are required to complete their Rangoli in two hours The participants may choose their own colour/design etc. for making their Rangoli. Rangoli size: 3 feet x 3 feet Judging criteria: - Depiction of theme, aesthetic appeal, finesses. Minute to win it Win yourself loads of attractive prizes in a minute Source: gameshownetworknews.blogspot.com Rules: These are 1 minute tasks wherein the contestant will have to perform a given task in 1 minute. The task will be chosen by another candidate in order to maintain the transparency of the event. The steps for completion will be intimated to the contestant before the start of the task. Competition will take place in a group of 3 members. A total of 3 chances will be given to a team for completion of tasks. These chances may be taken by the same participant or by another team member. A team needs to complete minimum 3 tasks in order to claim a prize. After that, at every 3 tasks another prize would open up. The more tasks the contestants/team completes, the greater the prize they get. The participant/ team may decide to leave the event at any time but once the participant/team opts for the next task they cannot back out without disowning the previous prizes won. Poster Making Competition Rules: Participants have to remain present at the given time and place for the event, else will be disqualified. Participants have to bring their own chart paper of 2.5 x 2 feet size and stationary (cuttings of newspaper, magazines, images, glue, colours, scissor, and decorative materials). Number of Participants: Maximum 3 students per team Time Limit for poster making: 2 hour Participation fee: Rs. 50 (Individual) for all Games (refundable) There will be 3 themes for competition: o Face of Indian Politics o Many faces one nation o Social awareness messages for society From above 3 themes, participants may select any one theme for which they will be making poster. Participants will explain their concept to the judges at the end of the competition Judgment criterion shall be on creativity, design, clarity, content and elements present On exceeding time, deviating from the theme or on unsatisfactory explanation to jury the participants may be disqualified. If need persists, the organizers may alter some rules of the event. The decision of the judges and organizers on all matters will be final and binding to the participants. Treasure Hunt competition Source: elimonline.com Rules & Regulations: Treasure hunt will have team comprising of maximum 5 members. Each team has to announce a leader at the time of registration. Wallets, mobile phones and all the other device of communication or IT devices will be taken away from the participants. You must rely on your team members only. An entire team must stay together. It cannot split up to find different clues. If a team splits, it will be penalized by a point penalty and after 3 penalty points, team will be disqualified. The treasure hunt should be completed within the time or less than that and the duration for the hunt will be announced on the spot. The clues are to be found in a particular order. A team cannot skip a clue. Skipping a clue leads to disqualification of the team. If you found other team s clue by any chance never tamper/ damage it. A violation of this rule could cause disqualification of your team. All the means used by the teams should be fair, in case of any violation of the rules or any use of unfair means, teams will be disqualified from the contest. Teams found seeking help from outsiders will be disqualified Teams have to reach the treasure by way of gathering the clues planted by organizers. All the clues found by participant during the hunt must be submitted to the organizers at the end of the event; only then the team will be eligible for judgment. The teams will get the successive clue from the place that the current one leads to. All the clues of the teams are at different and located at different places but the final destination i.e. the treasure is same. The team which finds the treasure first wins. An entry may be an individual performance or a group scene for group minimum 4 people required. No microphones on stage will be given. Background music is allowed but arrangements will be done by team themselves and Members from the team are in charge of lights and sound themselves. Facilities for playing recorded music available (CDs, DVDs and pen drives only). Each team must furnish their own props. Tact and taste should be used in selecting clothes, costumes, props and scenery. Electronic gadgets or Cell phones cannot be used at any time during the performances. Judges decision will be final. Best Out of Waste The idea is to make a useful product using the waste material. Source: bestoutofwaste.blogspot.com Rules: Event for a team of 3 members. Duration will be of 60 minutes. All the required material has to be brought by the participants themselves, nothing will be supplied by the institute for the same. Only waste material can be used for the purpose of this competition. Other than waste material, Glue, Fevicol other adhesives, Pins & colours can be used to enhance & give finishing to art work. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any art work if the major material used is n waste material. Participants are not allowed to bring any structure partly or fully made; all the art works are required to be prepared only during the allotted time. A panel of judges will judge the performances and decide the winner team. Participants have to make something worth from the waste in the limited time. Any argument with the judge or any of the officials will lead to immediate disqualification. No host college students will participate in this event. Any of the above rules can be changed or amended as per the requirement of the situation. In any circumstances, the decision by the coordinator will be final and binding to everyone. Face Painting competition Source: Artist Leanne Kell s work Rules: College ID-card is compulsory for registering in this event It is a team event. There can be only 2 participants in a team. One will be the painter & another team mate will play the role of live canvas. Participants need to bring their own colours and brushes. Sponges can also be used. Full face is needed to be painted Face needs to be painted within 60 minutes Participants should bring their own colours & brushes Colours to be used should be harmless, non toxic and of cosmetic grade Use clean brushes & sponges Keep your health considerations in mind. In case you are allergic to any chemical please avoid your face get painted Stencils, stamps or temporary tattoos cannot be used Designs cannot use jewels, gold leaf, feathers, ribbons or other accessories. Bring face wash, towels and clean up kit to clean the face after the competition Contestants and models must be in the competition area when competition begins Contestants/models entering late will be disqualified. Only one design relating to a particular theme may be submitted for judging. All face painting will be done in front of a live audience. General rules: I-card is compulsory. Participants need to reach the venue half an hour before the scheduled time on the first day (15th February) and at least 10 minutes before the specific event s start time. Misbehaviour or non compliance with rules and regulations will lead to disqualification. Event specific rules are already mentioned in the event page which needs to be followed strictly by all participants. Registration once done is non transferable and non cancellable. The decision of the judges / coordinators / organizers will be final and binding on all participants in all matters.
