Congratulations FMS Mathcounts! FMS competed in regional play in Mathcounts at LLCC on Saturday and brought home a fantastic 2nd place! Oliver won the count down round competition. We had 4 students in the top ten: David Lu - 2nd, Oliver Rauscher - 3rd, Kai Brudnak 4th and Faizaan Shaikh 7th. David and Oliver will continue on to state competition in March.
Scholastic Bowl Results Sweetheart Tournament @ Metcalf FMS brought home a 1st place trophy! Congratulations to Coach Knoepfle and the whole team. The MVPs for the 3 teams that participated were: Jack Casey, Molly Tolsdorf and Jared Dong.
Scholastic Bowl Match Highlights Franklin A-Team 1: Olivia, Jacob, Siddu, Jack and Naina: Highlight: Winning the tournament!!! Franklin A-Team 2 Cameron, Damon, Jared, Arnav and JP Highlight: They played Franklin A-Team 1 and almost beat them, losing on the last two questions of the match. Franklin B Molly, Louisa, Abhinav, Ishaan and Sashi Highlight: In the 2nd to last match, the boys on the team had to go to a soccer match leaving Molly and Louisa to compete in the rest of the match by themselves. The two Molly and Louisa led the team to victory! The sixth graders played great as well.

8th Grade Volleyball Tournament Update In the Titan Tourney on Saturday, the 8th grade Lady Falcons lost to Rochester (18-25 & 17-25) and Jacksonville (22-25 & 16-25), but WON against Champaign Franklin (22-25, 25-13 & 15-3). Good job ladies on 3 tough games!
