Wash off skin thoroughly with water. Use a mild soap if available. Shower if necessary. Seek medical attention for persistent redness, irritation or burning of the skin. Remove to fresh air, away from dusty area. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Partially non-toxic. Do not induce vomiting. Give large quantities of water or milk. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attention or call an ambulance SECTION 5: FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD Extinguishing Media: Fire/Explosion hazard Flammability limits Use Dry Chemical, Foam, and CO2 or water spray for fire in surrounding This product is non flammable SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Procedure if material is released or spilled: Collect and reuse where possible and avoid generating dust. Dust is best cleaned up with a vacuum device to avoid making dust. Useful to wet down area before sweeping. See Section 8 below on Exposure controls and personal protection should be read prior to clean up. Incompatibilities: Transport: No Special Requirements SECTION 8: EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Exposure Standards : Workplace Exposure Standards and Biological Exposure Indices, Crystalline silica (quartz): TWA 0.1 mg/m3 respirable dust. ( 7 microns particle equivalent aerodynamic diameter) Calcium silicate dust: TWA - 10 mg/m3 Portland cement: TWA 10 mg/m3 as inspirable dust Total dust (of any type or particle size): TWA - 10 mg/m3 Eye Protection: Ventilation Other Safety goggles or glasses should be worn. When dry concrete dust is present, ensure exposures to respirable protection are maintained. Work in the open air and external openings (such as doors and windows in buildings) generally provides adequate ventilation. Local mechanical ventilation or extraction may be required in areas where dust could escape into the working environment. Local dust extractionand collection may be used, if necessary, to control airborne dust levels. Handtools generate less dust when cutting, drilling or sanding. If power tools areused they should be fitted with efficient and well maintained dust extractiondevices. If generated dust cannot be avoided, follow personal protection recommendations. Avoid prolonged, repeated skin contact and breathing mist or vapours. All occupational exposures to atmospheric contaminants should be kept to as low a level as is workable (practicable). TWA (Time Weighted Average): the time-weighted average airborne concentration over an eight-hour working day, for a five-day working week over an entire working life. According to current knowledge this concentration should neither impair the health of, nor cause undue discomfort to, nearly all workers. Special Precautions Handling Wash hands before eating, drinking, using the toilet, or smoking. Wash work clothes regularly Respiratory Protection The type of respiratory protection required depends primarily on the Dingo Cement Pty Ltd Material Safety Data Sheet Page 3of 4

concentration of the respirable crystalline silica dust in the air, and the frequency and length of exposure time. Amount of exertion required during the work, and personal comfort are other considerations in choice of respirator. A suitable P1 or P2 particulate respirator, but where high levels of dust are encountered, more efficient cartridge-type or powered respirators or supplied-air helmets or suits may be necessary. Use only respirators that are fitted and maintained correctly. SECTION 9: Regulatory Information Appearance: Off-white blocks Odour: ph, at stated concentration: 8-10 Vapour Pressure: Vapour Density: Boiling Point/Range ( C): Freezing/Melting Point ( C): Not determined Solubility In Water: Not soluble Specific Gravity (H2O = 1): 0.4-0.7 FLAMMABLE MATERIALS o Flash Point: o Flammable (Explosive) Limits: o Autoignition Temperature: ADDITIONAL PROPERTIES o Evaporation Rate: o % Volatiles: 0% SECTION 10: DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS can be treated as a common waste for disposal or dumped into a landfill site in accordance with local authority guidelines. Recycling into other construction products is usually a practicable alternative. Dust generation to be avoided SECTION 11: OTHER INFORMATION For further information on this product, contact: Telephone: 02 80801420 Website: www.dingocement.com.au Emergency Contact Number: Poisons Information Centre 13 11 26 Australian Standards References: AS/NZS 1336 Recommended practices for occupational eye protection.
