NYYB 2017 SPRING SEASON TEAM PARENT CHECKLIST: Thank you for volunteering to be a Team Parent this season. You will be the main source of communication for your team and we greatly appreciate your time and effort to make this season a success! We hope this checklist helps you prepare for what s in store!!! q Create a Team Roster with parent contact information (email, phone # s, etc.) and distribute to the team via email and/or hard copy. Also send a copy of the roster to nvybaux@yahoo.com Confirm a method of communication with the parents on your team email, text, phone, etc. Distribute enclosed flyers to your team via email and/or hard copy. q Check your email often. Please make sure emails from nvybaux@yahoo.com won t end up in your spam folder. Please send us an email to confirm we have your email address. q Notify team of the Field Day starting at 8AM- dark & Parent Meeting at 10AM on Saturday, February 25 th. Also, let them know about Opening Day Ceremonies on March 4 th at 9AM. Remind them to sign up ONLINE to volunteer for their Snack Shack Shifts as soon as possible. A link will be available at www.nvyb.org q Appoint at least 3 scorekeepers for your team and send them to the Scorekeepers Clinic on Tuesday, February 21. Please see flyer for more information. q Appoint a Team Photographer and be sure they get plenty of great pictures of the team. Use these pictures for your team collage and submit to the yearbook committee by April 8. Player dedications are also due on April 8. q Find a Team Sponsor Each team is responsible for finding a sponsor(s) to make a tax-deductible donation totaling $300. The sponsor s full-page ad will appear in our 2017 Spring Season Yearbook. (Sponsor page can be split into 2 half-page ads if necessary). Sponsor money is due on April 8, 2017. q Appoint a volunteer to handle your team s Candy Fundraiser Sales. Candy will be passed out on March 18. Candy money is due on April 8. Please see flyer for more information. q Notify your team of Picture Day on March 18, 2017. Schedule TBA. q Notify team of NVYB Dodger Night. Friday April 28 th 7:10pm Dodgers vs. Phillies. q Choose a theme for your team s silent auction basket. Email nvybaux@yahoo.com as soon as you decide on a theme to reserve it and avoid any duplicate baskets. q HAVE FUN!!!
