HOUSE AND GENERAL RULES DRESS: Men and Ladies are requested to take pride in the club and maintain a responsible standard in respect to their attire in the club house and on the course. All members are requested to read the dress regulations displayed in the club house foyer. SUBSCRIPTIONS: Subscriptions are due on 1st September and are payable before 1st October. UNFINANCIAL MEMBERS: Any member whose subscription is in arrears shall be debarred from all club privileges. COMPLAINTS: All complaints shall be made to the President, Captain or General Manager of the club, who, if unable to satisfy them, shall submit them to the Golf Match Committee. If it needs referral to the Golf Match Committee the complaint must be in writing so as to avoid misinterpretation. MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITY: It is a Member s responsibility to know and observe the rules of the club. It should also be realised that a member assumes responsibility for any visitor introduced to the club by that member. REPORT BEFORE COMMENCING PLAY: All players must report to Pro Shop before commencing any round of golf, social or otherwise. MEMBERS GUESTS/PLAYING VISITORS: The following conditions will apply with the introduction of Members guests who are playing visitors: a) A member shall not introduce more than two playing visitors on any one occasion; b) A member must play with his or her visitor or visitors; c) No person shall be introduced as a member guest playing visitor on more than five occasions in any one calendar year; d) A member introducing a visitor or guest to the club: i) Must sign the visitor into the Pro Shop by entering his or her name into the visitors book ON ARRIVAL; ii) Visitor to pay half of current green fee; e) A member shall not knowingly introduce as a visitor any person whose name has been expunged from the Register of Members of the club, or who has been refused admission to membership of the club or any other club. NOTE: The above will not apply to Club Tournaments (see also by-law 5 of the Company Constitution re: local visitors). EXTREME WEATHER POLICY: The Tocumwal Golf & Bowls Club Extreme Weather Policy has been introduced to provide guidance to members and guests in relation to playing conditions which might impact on the health and wellbeing of players on the golf course. The Extreme Weather Policy addresses issues of extreme heat, lightning, strong winds and also the need to suspend play when greens become unplayable due to heavy rain or other circumstances. The full Policy can be viewed on the Club Notice Board or at the Pro Shop.

CONDITIONS OF MEN S COMPETITIONS 1. Starting times Winter: Wednesday 9am - 1pm; Saturday 8.30am 9.00am & 11.30am - 1.00pm; Sunday 8.30am 9.00am & 11.30am - 1.00pm; Summer: Wednesday 8am - 1pm; Saturday 8am 12.30pm; Sunday 8am 12.30pm. Note time sheets will be extended when necessary. 2. Competitions on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday will be as laid down in the programme for that day. Generally, the play will be in division according to the number of entries, and starting times will be as per starting sheet. The Committee shall arrange and control all competitions and matches and their decision on all points connected therewith shall be final. Changes to programme could occur if needed. 3. Monthly Medal to be played for on the day allotted each month, off the blue plates. The lowest nett score returned by a member on that day shall be the Medal winner. In the event of a tie between two or more players, the count back system will be used to determine the winner. 4. Star Medal shall be played on the day allotted. Winners of the Monthly Medal for the current year shall be eligible to play for the Star Medal. In the event of a tie the winner will be decided by the count back system. 5. The Club Championship is a scratch event (played without handicap) and is open to Full Members subject to qualification conditions. Minor (grade) championships, will be handicap events for qualifying and the Match play components. Minor Championships are: B Grade Handicap on the day of the first round 10 19 C Grade Handicaps on the day of the first round 20 36 Qualification Conditions Championship events are open to all Full Members who have completed six (6) or more rounds in 18 hole individual or representative (e.g. pennant) events (not four ball, Ambrose or nine (9) hole events) in the period immediately after the completion of the previous club championship and prior to the commencement of the first stroke round of the club championship qualifying event in the following year. Qualifying for the Club & Grade Championships 2016 Aggregate of the two (2) qualifying rounds on dates allocated. The leading four (4) persons in the Club & Grade events to qualify to play18 hole semi final match play knockout events on date allocated. Two (2) person s match play final in Club Championship 36 holes & Grades 18 holes on date allocated. If there is a tie for qualifying in any of the Club or Grades (that is two or more players with the same score) a count back will be used to decide the qualifier(s), in accordance with the Golf Australia Recommendation for competition conditions and administration, Part III (g) (ii) (c). To be played off blue plates. 6. Except for the Club Championships the handicap used for all Major Club Events shall be the player s current handicap. 7. Tocumwal Golf Club Mixed Foursomes Knockout play will be Mixed Foursomes and is open to members only. Enter by nomination. Entries will close 2 weeks prior to the first round. Draw announced 1 week prior to event. Match Play competition: Half the difference in aggregate handicaps will apply with a limit of 18 strokes. In the

event of a tie after 18 holes match to continue hole by hole, with handicap, until a decision is reached. Matches to be played on or before dates specified in Programme with the final on the allotted date. (See Clause 11). Trophy donated by Global Accreditation Services. 8. Tony Baldwin Memorial Shield play will be 4BBB and is open to members only. A qualifying round will be played with sixteen pairs to qualify for Match Play competition. Play will be 4BBB match play. The difference between handicaps will apply with a limit of 18 strokes. Lowest handicap player of each match will play off scratch and strokes received will be calculated from that mark. In the event of a tie after 18 holes, match to continue, hole by hole, with handicap, until a decision is reached. Matches to be played on or before dates specified in Programme with the final on the allotted date. (See Clause 11.). 9. The N & V Wilson Trophy. 27-hole Foursomes Championship is open to members only. In the event of a tie, a sudden death play-off will occur on holes nominated by the Committee. 10. Tocumwal Golf Club Singles Knockout: Play will be Stroke and is open to members only. A qualifying round will be played with eight players to qualify for Match Play competition. The difference between handicaps of the players shall apply with a limit of 18 strokes. In the event of a tie after 18 holes match to continue hole by hole, with handicap, until a decision is reached. Matches to be played on or before dates specified in Programme with the final on the allotted date. (See Clause 12.) 11. Each match must be played off the blue plates on or before the date and the time allotted. 12. Players are to report to the Starter at least 15 minutes prior to their starting time. 13. To be eligible for trophies in all competition events, a player must produce proof of handicap on request. 14. Winners entitled to one trophy only. 15. All competition games are covered by the rules of golf. 16. Sunday Competitions 1st Tee denotes to men members, 10th tee to medley entries. 17. 4BBB Events I. Players without a partner shall be issued with a scorecard upon which this player s score for each hole shall be recorded by one of the other members of the group. The player shall be responsible for the return of the card in accordance with rule 6.6. II. By lot, draw players who are without partners to form a side/s in the competition even though they are playing in different groups. III. Compile Fourball scorecards for each side formed in this manner, from the scores recorded on the individual scorecards. IV. In the event of a further player still not having been allocated a partner under the above procedure, the committee should form a side for this player by randomly drawing another player from within the competition field and compiling a Fourball card from the appropriate scorecards. In such a case, only the previously un-partnered player is eligible to receive a prize won by this pair.

PLAYING ETIQUETTE Note: 1. Inspect the Notice Board before start of play for temporary local rules and other information. 2. It is the imperative duty (and it should be made a matter of pride) for all to see that divots are covered with sand and that the footprints in bunkers are made smooth and plug marks on greens are repaired. 3. Bunker rakes should be placed in the middle of bunkers, lying in direction of play. 4. Players searching for a lost ball should promptly call the following players through, and having done this, should stand aside until these players are passed and are out of range. 5. Players should pick up as soon as a hole is lost in par or a point cannot be scored in. 6. When the result of a hole has been determined, players must leave the greens before marking their cards. 7. The putter head is not to be used to retrieve a ball from the hole. 8. Each player will be responsible for the observance of the rules and etiquette of the game. 9. Motorised buggies to be kept at least 10 metres clear of greens. 10. The flag must not be used to wipe golf balls. 11. Care must be taken when moving hoses or sprinklers, they must be replaced and turned on. 12. Slow play can be a great annoyance to following players. It is the duty of the lowest handicapper in a party to ensure that the party is never more than three quarters of a hole behind the preceding players, except for Par 3 holes. Penalties for slow play can be imposed (See Rule 6-7) and after suitable warning, will be imposed. NOTE: Players should not play their shot until all players in the group ahead are out of their range. 13. Ground staff have right of way on the course at all times. Please await signal to proceed. 14. Your place in the field is behind the group in front, not in front of the group behind. 15. To be eligible for any trophy, evidence of handicap must be produced on request. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP: 3 ROUNDS - in the event of a tie, play-off over three holes, then sudden death. PLEASE NOTE: To be eligible to play in the club championships you must hold a full membership and have played at least 6 individual club competitions at the Tocumwal Golf Club in the 12 months after the last day of the previous championship. CLUB FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIP: 27 Hole Foursomes. In the event of a tie, play-off over three holes then sudden death. MONTHLY MEDAL: Open to full members only. Monthly medals for November, December, January and February, may be held on a or Par round. A count-back will be held in the event of a tie. STAR MEDAL: Open to full members only. PUTTING TROPHY: Donated by the late Joan Morey. Aggregate of the best 6 scores to count. To be played on each Monthly Medal day. NEAREST THE PIN: To be conducted on all competition days. Incomplete 18 holes competition cards, or disqualified cards, are NOT eligible for N.T.P., Eclectic, Birdies or Gobblers competitions. ECLECTIC, BIRDIES AND GOBBLERS COMPETITIONS: Run in conjunction with Tuesday & weekend competitions. A separate Weekend Eclectic Competition will be played. GOLF VICTORIA SILVER SPOON: Competition over 4 rounds, best nett score and ties to play off in the 5th and final round. Lowest nett score wins the spoon. Spoon winner will be eligible to play for a case of spoons on Monday 7th November, 2016 at Keysborough. MONA McLEOD BROOCH: The best nett aggregate of two 18 holes stroke rounds. Two brooches are given in the country area and two in the city for Silver and Bronze divisions.
