E3 CHAMPIONSHIP SPRINT CLASSES Notes: If a class is not contested for two consecutive years at the National Sprint Championships it will become a Non-Championship class. Exception: Any class superseding another is to have four years not contested before becoming Non- Championship. Maximum of 10 Championship Sprint Classes at any one time. E3.1 JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES (For age limits see Section D) E3.1.1 CADET ROK: Drivers: 6 years and under 11 years. Drivers under 7 years can only hold an Unrated Licence. Chassis: (Rule K3) Eligible engine: Vortex Kiwi Mini ROK to KartSport New Zealand specs. (Rule N10) MAW: 98kg. Clutch: Obligatory. Must be original Vortex clutch (Rule M2) Oil: Motul Grand Prix 2T only E3.1.2 VORTEX MINI ROK Drivers: 9 years and under 13 years. Rotax rear tyre protection system must be fitted (ref Rule K1.6) Chassis: 125-MAX-DD2 specific E3.2.3 125cc ROTAX MAX LIGHT Eligible engine: Bombardier Rotax FR125 Max to KartSport New Zealand specs. MAW 165kg. (Refer Supplementary Rules for NZRMC Rounds) 2

E3.2.4 125cc ROTAX MAX HEAVY Eligible engine: Bombardier Rotax FR125 Max to KartSport New Zealand specs. MAW 185kg. (Note: A competitor is not permitted to compete in more than one 125cc Rotax Max class at any one event.) E3.2.5 KZ2 125cc reed valve engine as homologated by the CIK for the KZ2 class with the homologated gearbox ratios, homologated exhaust pipe and a CIK homologated inlet silencer and exhaust silencer for the respective engine. MAW: 175 kg. For further information (Rule N3, N4, N5 and N6) E3.2.6 OPEN Maximum capacity 250cc. Fuel: Category 1 (Rule L4.1) (from 1-2-17) This class is controlled by the listed MAW weights. Single Raket 120 and Briggs & Stratton LO206 powered karts not permitted. NON GEARBOX 100cc rotary or reed 130 kg. Over 100cc and up to 150cc 140 kg. Over 150cc and up to 250cc 160 kg. Up to 250cc Four Stroke Wankel Rotary Engine 160 kg. GEARBOX Up to 125cc motorcycle engine 170 kg. Up to 125cc non-motorcycle engine 170 kg. Over 125cc and up to 250cc 170 kg. E4 NON CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES E4.1 JUNIOR NON CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES (For age limits see Section D) E4.1.1 FORMULA JUNIOR Drivers 12 years and under 17 years. Eligible engines: Any stock, purpose built kart engine up to 125cc Non gearbox and fitted with an engine clutch to the manufacturer s specifications. No power valves permitted. Approved engines are: Rotax FR125 Max Junior (Rule N14) MAW: 145kg Clutch: Obligatory. (Rule M2) Original as supplied with engine. 3

E4.1.2 JUNIOR CLUBSPORT 120 Drivers with a Junior ClubSport Licence, minimum age 11 years, are also eligible to compete in this class. Maximum licence rating Tier 2. Eligible engine: Raket 120 to KartSport New Zealand specs. MAW 133kg Clutch: Obligatory. Must be the clutch as originally supplied with the Raket 120 engine. (Rule M2) Chassis: Exactly as per KartSport New Zealand chassis sprint unless otherwise specified. (Rule K1) E4.1.3 CADET RAKET Drivers: 6 years and under 11 years. Drivers under 7 years can only hold an Unrated Licence. Chassis: (Rule K3) Eligible engine: Raket 85 to KartSport New Zealand specs. (Rule N11) MAW: 88kg. Clutch: Obligatory. Must be original Radne clutch (Rule M2) Club Day only competition. E4.1.4 JUNIOR CLUBSPORT LO206 Drivers with a Junior ClubSport Licence, minimum age 11 years, are also eligible to compete in this class. Eligible engine: Briggs & Stratton LO206 to KartSport New Zealand specs. MAW 137kg Oil: Amsoil Briggs & Stratton synthetic 4T Racing Oil only Rear rims for Dry tyres: 205mm (8 inch nominal) wide minimum. Clutch: Obligatory. Must be the Hilliard Inferno Flame to KartSport New Zealand specs. 4

E4.2 SENIOR NON CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES E4.2.1 CLUBSPORT LO206 LIGHT Eligible engine: Briggs & Stratton LO206 to KartSport New Zealand specs. MAW 157kg. NOTE: Clubs can choose to run a single weight class at 167kg. Oil: Amsoil Briggs & Stratton synthetic 4T Racing Oil only.. Rear rims for Dry tyres: 205mm (8 inch nominal) wide minimum. Clutch: Obligatory. Must be the Hilliard Inferno Flame to KartSport New Zealand specs. E4.2.2 100cc YAMAHA LIGHT MAW: 144kg. E4.2.3 CLUBSPORT LO206 HEAVY Eligible engine: Briggs & Stratton LO206 to KartSport New Zealand specs. MAW 177kg. NOTE: Clubs can choose to run a single weight class at 167kg.. Carburettor components limited to: #50 throttle valve, K8 mixture needle, DQ 265 main spray nozzle, CD1 idle diffuser, #50 idle jet, #150 or #155 high speed jet, #300 needle valve A spec rear axle must be used. Axle must be marked Prokart. Carbon fibre hubs prohibited. MAW: 186 kg. For further information (Rule N3, N4, N5 and N6) Class has trial status only. Tyre restricted class: (Rule L3.5) Brakes: operating on front and rear wheels mandatory. Rotax rear tyre protection system must be fitted (ref Rule K1.6) Chassis: 125-MAX-DD2 specific E4.2.9 ROTAX DD2 HEAVY For Rounds of the NZRMC only Eligible engine: Bombardier Rotax 125 Max DD2 to KartSport New Zealand specs.
