Kings Jr. High P.A.C.T. - Pride-Attitude-Commitment -Together October 10-14 Book Fair 14-SLT Evening Event 7-10pm 18-Choir Concert 7pm 19-KLSD Celebration 7pm 20-Flu Vaccinations 24-28 Red Ribbon Week Good afternoon, Kings Junior High It was a very spirited week this week at KJH with our spirit themed days, activities at lunch and the final kick-off of our first Pep Rally of the school year. Congratulations to Team 8 White for winning the spirit trophy. I hope they don t get too comfortable with it though 7 Blue and 7 Red were close behind them in spirit points. I am sure they will continue to challenge the winners. Check out our Facebook page Kings Junior High, Kings Mills Ohio to see some fun pics! There are many events coming up, please take a look further in the newsletter to learn more about Teen Night Out, the Book Fair and more. Box Tops The KJH PTO will once again be doing the Box Tops for Education collection! This has been a great fundraiser for us in the past! To be successful, we need your help! The collection time frame will be Wednesday, October 12 th through Wednesday, October 26th. The students will turn the Box Tops in to their Home Base Teachers. As an incentive, the HOME BASE CLASS that collects the most valid box tops will enjoy a Daylight Donut Party and the TEAM that collects the most will receive and Ice Cream Party. Results of the contest will be announced on Friday October 28 th.. Thanks SO much for your help! If you have any questions, please contact Sylvia Lahni @ jslahni@hotmail.com. Book Fair Everyone's invited to our Scholastic Book Fair family Event on Monday October 10th from 4:30-7:30 PM. Bring your whole family! There's plenty of new books for you AND them, plus families can start donating their spare change to their child's grade and team to help them win the party! Mark it on your calendar today and make sure to remind your parents! October 10th 4:30-7:30 PM during the 7th and 8th grade volleyball games! Page 3

Teen Knight Out The Student Leadership Team will be hosting Teen Knight Out on Friday, October 14th from 7-10:00pm at Kings Junior High. All current 7th and 8th grade KJH students are invited to join the fun. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at lunch the week of October 10th or at the door the night of the 14th. Tickets include a pizza snack, all activities (dodgeball, cupcake walk, basketball, gaga, and more!). There will also be a concession stand available to purchase additional snacks. We are in need of some volunteers to help with this night. Car Talks are designed to give parents some key topics, connected to school activities from the week.
