NOTES President s Report 2015/16 Dear Life Members and Lizards, I am grateful for the opportunity to have served as your President over the last twelve months. It has been a year in which the club has faced several challenges adapting to the changing layout and facilities available to us at North Turramurra GC. The new front nine has opened up magnificent vistas over Ku-ring-gai National Park as the backdrop for our monthly competitions. It provides some fresh challenges too with longer holes, such as the ninth which now measures 522 metres. Adapting to the changing course conditions has not been without sacrifices. These include an increase in green fees and, notwithstanding the best efforts of our Treasurer and others, the demolition of the Lizard s heritage-listed bar-be-cue area. It remains to be seen how Council decides to develop the facilities for social clubs over the next twelve-month period. The success of the club in adapting to such changes has been possible thanks to the untiring efforts and commitment of our active members. These include Neil Winterton and Manfred Wagner as handicappers; Chris Mooney as editor of the Flat Out Like; Ivan Tiltins as our treasurer; Garry Bird as victualler and secretary; Glenn Castle and Brian Ellis as our baggage men; each of our excellent caterers over the year; and Wal Hill as coordinator of the catering roster and breakfast cook. Finally, let the record reflect your President s near-perfect delivery of dry conditions and sunny skies on our competition days. The sole blemish occurred on our last outing of the year thanks to an east-coast low blown from Queensland (damn maroon spoilers!). Happy golfing and best wishes to you all for the year ahead. Treasurer s Report 2014/15 My Fellow Lizards, Another fun and eventful season has come to pass with excellent attendance and mainly good weather, however these 2 factors alone do not necessarily equate to a profitable year. The 2015/16 year kicked off with a balance of $3000.90 and after all expenses ended with a balance of $2,651.60 a net loss for the 12 months of $350.30. Looking at the balance sheet below, we had 6 games showing a profit and 6 games resulting in a loss, with the 2014/2015 balance sheets showing only 3 losses for that period. A special thank you once again to the Assistant Treasurer, Michael Morgan for his efforts throughout the year when I was absent, I would also like to thank the Lizard committee and some members in particular David, Stretch, Birdie, Wal, Neil, and of course the Dobber as they are the reason the club continues to go forward. This leaves me to present the Financial Statement for the end 2015/16. This is a true and honest account of monies received and paid out for this accounting period. The Treasurer, Ivan Tiltins.
