He was born July 22, 1921, in Johnston County to 14

the late Jasper V. and Susana Adams Barefoot. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Vinson Barefoot. He was a retired U.S. Army master sergeant and was a veteran of World War II and Korea. Mr. Barefoot was a member of Banner Post 109 American Legion and attended Elevation United Methodist Church. He was also a barber for more than 45 years in Benson. Funeral services were held 5 p.m Aug. 11 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson by the Rev. Ron Gurganis. Entombment was at Roselawn Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, S.
