Sullivan scored the Tigers fi rst 11 points of the second half to bring them to within 41-37 with 6:54 to play before Allen Payne s conventional 3-point play brought the Tigers to within 43-40 with 6:31 left. BC went ahead 47-40 on Hanlan s bucket with 3:56 left, but a Noel Johnson 3 from the corner closed the Tigers to within four with 3:07 left followed by a pair of Rob Chubb free throws to bring Auburn to within 47-45 with 1:52 remaining. Joe Rahon s reverse layup in traffi c with a minute left put the Eagles back up by four. Sullivan s four-point play then tied it. Auburn made six of its fi rst nine shots to open the game while Boston College scored its first nine points all on 3-pointers and neither team led by more than four points in a closely contested first half. The Eagles took the fi rst half s largest lead at 25-21 with 2:48 to go, but Auburn closed on a 5-0 run to take a 26-25 lead after Sullivan drained a 3-pointer just before the shot clock expired with 1.2 seconds left. It marked the Tigers first halftime lead of the season and the play came after a called time out by Barbee with 35.7 seconds on the clock. Auburn outshot Boston College from the field 42.2 percent to 36.2 percent while the Eagles were 8-of-22 from the fl oor to the Tigers 4-of-13. SEASON NOTES RETURNING STARTERS Auburn returns three starters in seniors Frankie Sullivan (12.6 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.3 apg), Rob Chubb (8.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg) and Josh Wallace. A healthy Noel Johnson and Allen Payne will also be in the mix.

HELP ARRIVES A recruiting class ranked third in the SEC will help Coach Tony Barbee s rebuilding project immensely as top 100 recruits and incoming freshmen guards Jordan Price and Shaquille Johnson both are from metro Atlanta. Guard Brian Greene Jr., 6-foot-9 forward Jordan Granger, 7-foot center Asauhn Dixon-Tatum and 6-foot-8 forward Shareif Adamu round out the highly-touted class. KT Harrell, a standout guard, will redshirt this season after transferring from Virginia but will be a vital scout team member. FRANKIE ON AND OFF THE COURT Frankie Sullivan, who is 24th on Auburn s all-time scoring list with 1,124 career points, graduated on Dec. 12, 2011, with a bachelor s degree in Sociology. He was the first Tiger to graduate in 3.5 years since Marquis Daniels, now of the NBA s Milwaukee Bucks, earned his degree in 2003. RPI CONTINUES TO IMPROVE Auburn has increased its RPI and strength of schedule dramatically in the massive rebuilding project by Barbee as the Tigers have improved from 253 to 145 in RPI and 148 to 82 in strength of schedule from 2010-11 to 2011-12. NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE HIGH- LIGHTS Participating in the loaded Charleston Classic, hosting the SEC-Big East Challenge and playing 18 SEC games for the fi rst time since 1990-91 highlight Auburn s 2012-13 basketball schedule. Auburn has the possibility of playing 18 games against 2012 postseason tournament teams, including 12 that played in the NCAA Tournament and six in the NIT. The Tigers will play a pair of ACC teams (Florida State, Boston College) and a Big Ten team (Illinois) on the road. Auburn plays host to DePaul in the fi rst SEC-Big East Challenge game in Auburn Arena. 18-GAME SEC SCHEDULE With the new 18-game SEC schedule, Auburn plays fi ve teams twice, three of them NCAA Tournament teams in National Champion Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Alabama as well as Ole Miss, which went to the NIT, and Arkansas. The Tigers play the other eight SEC teams once with home games vs. Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee and LSU with road games at Missouri, Georgia, Mississippi State and South Carolina. The last time the SEC played an 18- game regular season schedule was in 1990-91, the year before the league expanded to 12 teams from 10. WALLACE EARNS SCHOLARSHIP Senior Josh Wallace, who was a walkon the previous three seasons, earned an athletic scholarship prior to this season. Wallace, who will graduate in May with a degree in Engineering, was on a nearly full Engineering scholarship his first three years. Last season, Wallace averaged 3.4 points, 2.2 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game. He played in all 31 games, starting 13. As a sophomore in 2010-11, the Pensacola, Fla., native played in all 31 games, starting 26. The 26 games started is a single-season record by a walk-on at Auburn, while his 39 career starts is also a school record. BABY STEPS In the second year of the Coach Tony Barbee era in 2011-12, the Tigers increased both their overall and SEC wins from year one to year two. Auburn improved to 15-16 overall and 5-11 in SEC play last year from 11-20 overall and 4-12 in league play in 2010-11. FRANKIE SULLIVAN GRADUATES Senior Frankie Sullivan graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Sociology on Dec. 12, 2011. He is the first Tiger to graduate in three and a half years since Marquis Daniels, now of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks, earned his degree in 2003. AUBURN'S ALL-TIME RECORD Entering the 107th season and through 2,345 games of Auburn Basketball, the Tigers are 1246-1098-1 (.532). OVERTIME RECORD Auburn has a 46-48 (.489) record in overtime games in its history. The Tigers have not played an overtime game this season. AUBURN ARENA QUICK SKETCH Entering its third season, the offi cial groundbreaking of the new $86 million Auburn basketball arena and practice facility was on Aug. 29, 2008. The Auburn Arena, with a capacity of 9,121, includes over 29,000 square feet of student-athlete space, a two-court practice facility, coaches offi ces, the Auburn University Athletic Ticket Offi ce, an AU Team Store, the relocated Lovelace Museum and two food courts along with many other amenities. 360 Architecture of Kansas City, Mo., worked with Davis Architects of Birmingham on the design of the arena. The fi rm of Robins & Morton of Birmingham served as construction manager. The 243,792 square foot facility features chair back seats along with bleacher seating for students. The building also provides improved facilities for the student-athletes, including men's and women's locker room suites with sports medicine facilities, lounges and team meeting rooms. Along with a strength and conditioning center, a two-court practice facility enables the team another practice areas. The arena has 12 luxury suites on the arena level that not only open inside the facility, but also opens on the outside of the arena for multiple entertaining opportunities throughout the year. Loge box seating also is available as well as on-site food preparation. The seating confi guration offers better sight lines and moves fans closer to the court. The furthest seat is just 43 feet in elevation from courtside, compared to 60 feet in elevation at Beard-Eaves, with two-thirds of the seats in Auburn Arena being less than 27 feet in elevation from courtside. The scoreboard features a highdefi nition video board with full message/ information center technology. For the student fan amenities, there is a private entrance, a private courtside commons and food court and courtside seating that permits standing with unobstructed views. The new facility serves as more than a sports complex. With over 12,000 square feet of banquet/entertainment space, its design affords ready adaptation into a site for concerts, other cultural events, convocations and other community gatherings. On-campus student housing is adjacent to the new arena creating a unique "student village" experience. WHAT'S NEXT? Auburn plays the second game of its six-game homestand against DePaul in the SEC-Big East Challenge in Auburn Arena on Nov. 30. This marks the first time the Tigers have played host to the event. The Blue Demons are 2-3 on the season defeating UC Riverside 91-59 and Austin Peay 98-67 while losing to Gardner-Webb 71-59, Wichita State 75-62 and Western Kentucky 70-61. DePaul plays host to Fairfi eld on Tuesday prior to playing at Auburn. AUBURN BASKETBALL
