Format of Play : The Tournament shall be decided by stroke play over 3 rounds of 18 holes each day, subject to the committee s decision in the event of circumstance which makes the playing of 54 holes impracticable, to cancle any round(s) at its discretion. 5. Eligibility : a) Open to Men players who are: i. Amateur golfers in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status issued by the R & A Rules Ltd: ii. Having a maximum USGA Handicap Index of 10.7 (Club Handicap of 12 and below) for Championship Category; iii. Index of 11.6 to 14.2 ( Club Handicap of 13-16 ) for Intermediate Category which must be current at the time of entry. b) Open to Ladies players who are: i. Amateur golfers in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status issued by the R & A Rules Ltd: ii. Having a maximum USGA Handicap Index of 16.4 (Club Handicap of 18 and below), which must be current at the time of entry. Page 1
c) All competitors shall produce their current NHS handicap certificate upon registration. Players from non-nhs Clubs may play in then gross category only. d) Entries are limited to 120 / 160 players on first come first basis. 6. Schedule of Events: Day 1- Wednesday 26 August 2015 Registration & Official Practice Round 7.15 am onwards Day 2- Thursday 27 August,2015 First Round (Men & Ladies) Day 3-Friday 28 August, 2015 Second Round (Men & Ladies) Cut-off to not more than 50% & ties (Men) for Championship Category and Maximum 20 player for Intermediate Category. Cut off to not more than 50% & ties (Ladies) Day 4-Saturday 29 August, 2015 Final Round (Men & Ladies) Lunch & Prize Giving 7. Practices Round : Official practice round is on 26 August 2015 (Wednesday from 7.15 am onwards. All players must leave the course by 4.00 pm. Green fee is complimentary. Buggy fee is RM 63.60 per buggy on twin sharing basis and compulsory golf insurance of RM 5.00 per person. Minimum a flight is 2 balls. Please make booking tee time directly with the Club. 8. Entry Fee : The entry fee is RM 350.00 (Malaysian) and USD 135 (Foreign) per player. This fee inclusive of green fees, buggy on twin sharing basis, golf insurance, breakfast and lunch on the tournament days and goodies. All enteries are to be made on the official entry form and must be reach the Tournament Secretariat latest by 5.00 pm on 14th August 2015. Registration Players are required to register either in person at Club or by telephone at 09-4224139 by 1.00 pm on 26th August 2015. Failure to do so may result in the player being withdrawn from the Championship. 10. Caddie To Be Announced 11. Practice range Open from 6.45 am to 10.45 pm Practice balls are charged at RM 5.00 per 50 balls. 12. Food and Beverage Daily breakfast and lunch will be provided on competition days for players only. All other transacttions are by cash. 13. Winner / Prize a) The Gross Champion (Championship Men) aggregate gross score over 54 holes or less shall be declared as The Champion. b) The Net Champion ( Championship Men ) aggregate nett score over 54 holes or less shall be declared as the nett Champion. c) The Intermediate Champion ( Men ) aggregate nett score over 54 holes or less shall be declared as the Intermediate Champion. Prizes will be awarded as follows: Championship Category 1st 15th placing gross scores over 54 holes or 1st 5th placing net scores over 54 holes or Page 3
Daily 1 best Gross and 1 best Nett Score. Intermediate Category 1st -10th placing nett score over 54 holes or Daily 1 best Nett Score. c) The Gross Champion (Ladies) aggregate gross score over 54 holes or less shall be declared as The Champion. d) The Net Champion (Ladies) aggregate net score over 54 holes or less shall be declared as the net Champion Prizes will be awarded as follows: 1st 7th placing gross scores over 54 holes or 1st 3th placing net scores over 54 holes or Daily 1 best Gross and 1 best Net Score. NOTE: A competitor shall be entitiled to win only one gross or net prize. In all cases gross score will take precedence over net score in determining the prizers. Number of prizes may be changed depending on the final entries. 14. TSM Qualifying Round : The Pahang Amateur Open is one of qualifying round for TSM Golf Challenge 2015. 15. Malaysian Men and Ladies : The Pahang Amateur Open is counted event for Amateur Order Of Merit MAOOM 2015. 16. Prohibited : Alcoholic drinks All players are prohibited from consuming alcoholic drinks during play. Mobile Phone The use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited during the competition rounds.
