RAUGEO DEEP GROUND-SOURCE PROBE Technical requirements of depth exploitation Today s ground-source probe types PN 16 are nominally pressure resistant by their own capacity up to an installation depth of approx. 130 m. Beyond this depth, the grouting material and, respectively, the water in the bore hole equalize the pressure. This cannot be ensured with increasing depth or in the presence of fissured rock. This is confirmed by current research projects as well as damages occured in depths between 250 and 300 m. Consequently, depth probes have to be able to withstand the hydrostatic pressure and the operating pressure by their own capacity, regardless of the grouting. e.g. in a depth of 800 m, a hydrostatic pressure of 80 bar and an operating pressure of 3 bar. RAUGEO DEEP GROUND-SOURCE PROBE Technical requirements of depth exploitation Geothermal probes for greater depths, especially in geothermal anomalies are required to have a high temperature resistance. REHAU - PCDxxx - 13.05.2015 - Seite 6
RAUGEO DEEP GROUND-SOURCE PROBE Technical solution of the depth exploitation 3-layer pipe structure The inner pipes consists of high-pressure crosslinked and therefore temperature- and stress cracking resistant PE-Xa. In order to withstand the inside pressure, this inner pipe is provided with a reinforcement made of of V4A stainless steel wire In order to protect this reinforcement, the probe pipe is provided with an outer layer made of impact resistant polyethylene PE 100.
