2 WELCOME MESSAGE OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF ABPF: Dear delegates, athletes and Bodybuilding and Physique Sports enthusiasts, ABPF (WBPF Austria) is proud to organize and conduct the 7 th WBPF International Austria Cup and 1 st Vienna Pro sponsored by Baba MADHOK with a total prize money in the amount of 7.500,00 on 12th November at Lugner City Mall, Gablenzgasse 12-15, 1150 Vienna/Austria. The executive council as the organizing committee of the 7 th International Austria Cup and 1 st Vienna Pro wishes to extend its great pleasure and a warm welcome to all participants of these Championships. After the 7 th WBPF International Austrian Championships on 14 th May 2016 this is now the 7 th International WBPF-Austria event being conducted and organized at Lugner City Mall by ABPF (WBPF Austria) under the leadership of President Axel Bauer. Richard Lugner, the owner of the Lugner City Mall, is a world famous celebrity and strong supporter of bodybuilding and physique sports in Austria. At Lugner City Mall you can find all kind of shops, a modern, fully equipped gym (McFIT), a cinema, an entertainment complex as well as Hotel Atlantis, a four star Hotel that is located in the same building. You can be assured that during your visit the organizers will do their utmost best to make your stay comfortable, unforgettable, entertaining and make these Championships a great success. 4 INFORMATION ABOUT THE REPUBLIC OF AUSTRIA AND VIENNA: Austria is a country in Central Europe. The Alpine country boarders in the north to Germany and Czech, in the east to Slovakia and Hungary, in the south to Slovenia and Italy and in the west to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Austria is a land with officially 8.3 million people in Central Europe. The territory of Austria covers 83.872 Km². The majority of the population speaks German, which is also the Country s official language, but most Austrians also speak English. The form of government since the constitution of 1920 is the federal organised parliamentary republic which exists since 1922 of 9 sub countries; one of it being the capital city, Vienna. Since 1955, Austria is a member of the United Nations and from 1995 it is part of the European Union. The capital city Vienna has 2.2 million inhabitants. In Vienna, there are buildings of all styles of architecture, from the Roman Ruprecht s Church e.g the gothic Stephansdom, the baroque Karls Church, the highly baroque Jesuits Church and the constructions of the classic season up to the modern age. Never the less, the architecture of the early days particularly demonstrates the former imperial city of Vienna like from downpour is to be emphasised. Tourist hotspots in Vienna are the Ringstraße, here you can find many famous buildings such as the Parliament, the Vienna opera house, the Burgtheater, the Vienna University, the Rathaus (municipality of Vienna) and many five stars hotels like the famous Imperial Hotel, the Saint Stephan s Cathedral which is located in the centre of the first district, where you also have good shopping opportunities, galleries and boutique hotels. The 8th International Austria Cup and 1 st Vienna Pro will take place at the Showbühne located in the centre of the Lugner City Mall, the stage can be viewed from all floors, which grants a maximum visibility from all sides. www.aohostels.com/de/wien/wien-stadthalle/ The organizing committee of the 8th International Austria Cup has made a special arrangement with the official hotel ATLANTIS to grant corporate rates to participants (delegates/athletes/supporters/media personal) the room rates amount to around 96,00 for the double room (2 persons) and 85,00 for the single room without breakfast and WLan depending on the time of the actual booking and availability. The rooms can be booked directly at the hotel using the code word Austria Cup. Hotel/Hostel A & O Wien Stadthalle can be booked the cheapest online only for around 30,00 per person/night. There are many more nice hotels available near the venue site too, but it is recommended to make hotel bookings as early as possible to get better rates. WEIGH-IN /REGISTRATION: The weighing/registration for both the 7 th International Austria Cup and the 1 st Vienna Pro takes place on 11 th November 2016 from16:00-19:00 o clock and on 12 th November 2016 from 10:00 12:00 o clock on the stage (Showbühne) at the Lugner City Mall. REGISTRATION FEE 7 th Int. Austria Cup: There is a registration fee of 30,00 per category that has to be paid upon registration/ weighin in cash to the organizing committee. Competitors who would like to compete in two different age categories (junior/senior or senior/masters) have to pay the registration fee twice. The registration fee includes a meal of choice (athletes food or regular food) at Jacky s restaurant located on the 3 rd floor of the entertainment complex at Lugner City Mall) and one drink voucher. TROPHIES AND MEDALS; CASH AWARDS AND OTHER PRICES 7 th Int. Austria Cup: The top 3 of each category receive a trophy and a medal (gold, silver, bronze) respective of their final placing; All participants receive a diploma (certificate of participation); cash and other prizes are subject to further announcement. TANNING; MAKE-UP AND STYLING SERVICES: Will be provided by PRO TAN Austria team (Oliver Kovacs) as per price-list published at the venue site upon arrival; the organizing committee recommends to use the services of PRO TAN for the best possible appearance on the stage; for women s physique competitors airbrush tan is obligatory, no dream tan allowed. APPLICABLE COMPETITION RULES: You will find all rules in the WBPF rules book edition 2015 except one limitation. Due to the limited number of athletes per category there will be only one deciding scoring/final round! Due to the experience of previous championships we want to remind the competitors of the correct competition attire.the following is just a summary of the most important points to consider! Competition Attire for Athletes: 11
For Men s Bodybuilding it is a one-coloured opaque and clean posing trunks that covers at least 50 % of the gluteus maximus, (the front of the trunks must cover the private parts completely!) and the side of the trunks must measure at least 1 (one) cm. For Men s Athletic Physique it is a one-coloured opaque and clean tights/posing trunks that covers 100 % of the gluteus maximus, (the front of the trunk must cover the private parts completely!) and the side of the trunks/tights/gymnastic shorts must measure at least 15 (fifteen) cm. For Men s Sport Physique it is a knee long and not thight fitting board shorts with any colour(s). For all women s disciplines it is a one-coloured and decorated opaque two-piece bikini that covers at least 50% of the gluteus maximus, (the front of the trunks must cover the private parts completely!) and the side of the trunks must measure at least 1 cm. In Women s Bodybuilding there is no footwear whereas in Women s Athletic Physique high heels with a sole thickness of not more than 1 cm and heels (stiletto) with a height of not more than 10 cm are allowed. In Women s Sport Physique and Model Physique high heels with a sole thickness of not more than 2 cm and heels (stiletto) with a height of not more than 12 cm are allowed; platform shoes are prohibited. Competitors that fail to be in conformity with these rules will be disqualified! Registering in women s disciplines: In light of the fact that it is increasingly difficult for women to register in the right discipline at the weigh-in/registration the Chief Judge has the authority to make a final and binding decision that moves the athlete to the correct discipline. Posing Music: All posing music must be on an audio CD encased in a plastic protective case with the competitor s name affixed upon the case of the CD, and the music properly cued at the beginning of the song title. The duration of the posing music is 60 seconds The use of profane, vulgar and offensive language in the posing music is strictly prohibited. Eligibility to compete in the 1 st Vienna Pro 2016 sponsored by Baba Madhok: There is a maximum of 10 competitors in each discipline. Only athletes/models are entitled to compete who have achieved the following results in at least one of the following competitions in the last 3 years (2014 2016): - WBPF World Championships top 5 placing - WBPF Continental Championships top 3 placing - WBPF International Championships 1 st place - Any other high level physique sports championships (e.g. Fitparade) 1 st place win subject to the final decision of the organizing committee. One starting position is reserved for the Men s bodybuilding overall winner and the Women s Model Physique overall winner of the 7 th International Austria Cup provided that he/she pays the registration fee after winning. Applications to compete are generally treated on a first come first served basis subject to the payment of the registration fee. The right to compete will be confirmed in writing, also the place on the waiting list. Payments that are too late will be refunded after the competition. If an authorized competitor doesn t participate, his/her position will be issued according to the 13
waiting list and he/she looses the right of refunding the registration fee except in case of a reasonable excuse like accident or illness proved by documentary evidence. VP Media GmbH (WBPF-TV) will cover this event and has the right to film and broadcast this event (videos, internet live stream) persuant to agreement with the organizer. There will be an internet life-stream of the event if technically possible. JUDGES: All international WBPF judges will be considered for judging. National Federations that wish to bring a judge are welcome provided that the judge carries an international judge s card and is appropriately dressed in the official WBPF uniform (grey suite, white shirt, official tie). In order to assist the organizing committee in their selection of Judges for the Championships, please forward your nomination for judges from your national federation together with your Entry Form no later than by 05th Nov, 2016.
