Here s What s Happened! Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Mid-Chambers 4-H Club Mid-Chambers 4-H Club sent one senior and two junior Livestock Judging Teams to Houston. There were a total of 472 junior and 1144 senior participants. The Mid- Chambers team did very well and we are very proud of them. Pictured below is the Mid- Chambers 4-H Livestock Judging Team. Front row (left to right): Corby Storey, Hadlee Richard, Reagan Richard, Hudson Richard, Jack Hampton. Second row: Kaitlyn Bennett, Brylie Dillard, Katrina Swope, Ashley Bennett, Maci Bennett, Brianna Humphrey. Below, Brianna Humphrey (far right) placed 18th in the poultry show. Below, Kaitlyn Bennett placed 1st in her class with her Brahman heifer. Below, Maci Bennett placed 2nd in her class in the ARB show. Barbers Hill 4-H Club Barbers Hill 4-H Club members had a lot of fun at Houston. They participated in many of the livestock shows (including cattle, and poultry) and did very well with their animals. They also participated in Livestock Judging and had a great time! Below, Jessi Parham shows her heifer. Jessi also received a Hard Luck Sponsorship in the Houston Calf Scramble! Here she is with her Mom and sponsor! Below, Ashley Bennett placed 6th in her class in the ARB show. Mid-Chambers also had several members do well at the Livestock Show. Page 2 Chambers County

Here s What s Happened! Below is Tyler Lockhart who participated in the Livestock Judging Competition on the Barbers Hill 4-H team. San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Barbers Hill 4-H Club Winnie 4-H Club Winnie 4-H also sent a team to Houston for Livestock Judging. Check out Tyler giving them a pep talk before they begin judging. Many Chambers County 4-H members had a great time at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo. Trace a sheep s head, four rectangles and a small circle onto the black construction paper with your marker. 2. Use scissors to cut out the shapes. 3. Decorate the sheep s face with a nose and mouth and googly eyes. 4. Glue cotton balls onto the paper plate. 5. Glue sheep head, legs and tail onto the sheep. 4-H Trivia The 4-H Motto To Make the Best Better was adopted in 1920. At that time the boys and girls branches of the club were still separate. The girls was the first to adopt the new motto. The boysfollowed suit a year later.
