Bengali Babees Ganesh When crocheted with yarn and hook specified, Ganesh measures 14 inches L, 13 inches around the belly, and a sitting height of 10 inches. Crown is 14 inches in diameter and 2 ¼ inches high at center front. Ganesh is crocheted in the amigurumi style of continuous rounds beginning from a double yarn loop. Assembly Stuff arms; pin and sew rear arms to upper back of body with the front of arms near the body sides, pin front arms to sides of body, slightly overlapping the area of the rear arms closest to the sides (see picture below), sew on. Stuff body, pin and sew on head, adding more stuffing to the neck area to keep head upright. Place crown on Ganesh and either wrap in a dhoti or make a pair of lounge pants (I used a fat quarter folded in half and traced around the lower half of Ganesh about an inch and a half away from the body and legs, sewed sides and inner legs, folded waist down an inch and sewed to create a casing for elastic, added the elastic and sewed the gap closed, then hand hemmed the legs.
