Batum s 12 assists are the most assists by a Charlotte player this season (previous: 11, Kemba Walker at BOS 11/10). He followed this up by dishing 10 assists at Boston on 2/28, his 5 th game with 10-or-more assists this season. This is only the second time in his career he has had 10-or-more assists in consecutive games (last: 2, 12/20-12/23/16). FIVE IN A ROW With wins over Orlando, Brooklyn, Washington, Detroit and Chicago from 2/14-2/27 the Hornets recorded their longest winning-streak of the season. The final four wins of the stretch each came by margins of 15-points or more: +15 over Brooklyn, +17 over Washington, +16 over Detroit, +15 over Chicago. This is the first time in franchise history Charlotte has won four-straight games by 15-or-more points. Over this span Charlotte connected on 72 of 160 attempted threepointers, good for 45.0% including a season-high 17 made threes at Washington on 2/23, good for the highest three-point percentage in the NBA over that span. Below are other Hornets numbers during these five games: Charlotte ranks seventh in the NBA in assists per game at 27.4 Charlotte is tied for fifth in the NBA in steals per game at 8.8 Charlotte ranks third in the NBA and second in the East in Net Rating: +14.0 Charlotte ranks fourth in the NBA and second in the East in Defensive Rating: 100.9 Charlotte ranks sixth in the NBA and second in the East in Offensive Rating: 114.9 NBA THREE-POINT LEADERS RANK PLAYER TOTAL 1 James Harden 219 2 Stephen Curry 203 3 Paul George 198 4 Klay Thompson 196 5 Kemba Walker 183 6 Wayne Ellington 174 THREE S COMPANY In the Hornets win over Chicago on 2/27, Kemba Walker connected on six three-point field goals on ten attempts. DOUBLE DOSE OF DWIGHT Dwight Howard recorded a double-double in twelve consecutive games (1/13-2/4) which is the third longest streak in the NBA overall this season. It also marks his personal longest doubledouble streak since he had 14 during the 2012-13 season. Howard is tied for 4 th overall in the NBA with 38 double-doubles this season and 2 nd in the Eastern Conference behind only Detroit s Drummond (42). NBA DOUBLE-DOUBLE LEADERS RANK PLAYER TOTAL 1 Karl-Anthony Towns 55 2 Andre Drummond 47 3 Russell Westbrook 45 4t DeMarcus Cousins 38 4t Dwight Howard 38

THE BUZZ SIXTH MAN LAMB In Charlotte s loss to Boston on 2/28 Jeremy Lamb scored 10 points off the bench, marking his career-high 35 th appearance in which he scored at least 10 points as a reserve this season. Through his 2-plus seasons in Charlotte Lamb has recorded 91 games with double-digit scoring as a reserve, good for second most in franchise history (Dell Curry, 455). THE DWIGHT STUFF In the Hornets 111-96 win over Brooklyn on 2/22 Dwight Howard recorded his 37 th double-double of the season, logging 10 points and 11 rebounds in the first quarter alone. He finished the game with 15 points and a season-high 24 rebounds (prev: 22 at MIL, 10/23). Howard s 24 rebounds are the most rebounds ever by a Charlotte player in regulation and the most in a game since Emeka Okafor had 25 in 06-07 (3OT vs. LAL, 12/29/06). TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK In the 131-111 win at Sacramento on 1/2, the Hornets recorded a season-low three turnovers (previous: 7 vs. POR, 12/16). Charlotte s three turnovers set a new franchise record for fewest turnovers on the road (5, done multiple times, last at DEN, 3/4/17) and missed tying the franchise record for fewest turnovers in a game by one (low: 2 vs, MIL, 3/28/17). The Hornets are averaging just 12.7 turnovers per game, third fewest in the NBA. The Hornets have led the league in fewest turnovers every year that Coach Clifford has been in Charlotte (2013-17). 40-POINT FLURRY In the Hornets loss to the Trail Blazers on 2/8, Kemba Walker scored 40 points on 13-26 shooting from the field, including going 6-11 from deep to go along with three assists and four steals. This was Walker s fourth 40-point game this season after scoring 41 against Indiana on 2/2, 41 against Dallas on 1/10 and 47 at Chicago on 11/17. This is a career-high number of such games for Walker and he is only the second Charlotte player to record as many since Glen Rice had seven such games in 1996-97. Walker is currently one of just five NBA players to record four games of 40- points this season. BATTLE ON THE BOARDS Charlotte is first in the NBA in defensive rebounding percentage at 81.4% and seventh in overall rebounding percentage at 51.1%. The Hornets have outrebounded their opponents by 2.2 rebounds per game this season. Charlotte s strong rebounding numbers are boosted by the NBA s fourth leading rebounder per game, Hornets center Dwight Howard who is averaging 12.4 per game. HOWARD THE HORNET Hornets center Dwight Howard has been a force inside for Charlotte in his first 63 appearances, including putting up historic rebounding numbers. He has 38 double-doubles thus far putting him at 704 career double-doubles, a category he s the active leader in. Some notes on his performances below: With 18 points and 14 rebounds at Phoenix on 2/4, Dwight Howard recorded his 700 th career double-double, becoming just the 8 th player in the NBA since 1963 to reach 700 in their career. He joins Tim Duncan, Karl Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kevin Garnett, Shaquille O Neal, John Stockton and Charles Barkley in this category. Howard brought down 15-or-more rebounds in eight consecutive games from 1/10-1/27 setting a franchise record for the longest such streak and a personal career-high streak of such games. He is the only NBA player to record a streak of 8-or-more games this season. This was the second streak Howard had of consecutive games with 15-or-more rebounds since he had 5 straight to begin the season from 10/18-10/27. Per Elias Sports, this tied the longest streak of 15+ rebound games to start a season in the last 45 years (C. Barkley 1998-99). With 20 points and 16 rebounds against Miami on 1/27, Dwight Howard logged his 8th game with 20-or-more points and 15-or-more rebounds this season. He is only the fifth player in the NBA to record eight or more such games this season. Including logging 29 points and 13 rebounds at Golden State on 12/29, Howard has recorded 17 games with 20-or-more points and 10-ormore rebounds through 57 games this season, good for 8th most such games in the NBA this season. With 798 points, 636 rebounds and 85 blocks through the Hornets first 50 games Howard became just the third player to total 750+ points, 500+ rebounds and 50+ blocks through 50 games for Charlotte, joining Gerald Wallace (09-10) and Emeka Okafor (06-07). His 23 15+ rebound games ranks third in the NBA (38, Drummond, DET and 30, Jordan, LAC). KEMBA S 20-POINT PUSH Hornets guard Kemba Walker has had 40 games this season of 20+ points through his first 61 games played and is the first player in franchise history to reach 200 career games with 20-or-more points. Walker is the second leading scorer among point guards in the Eastern Conference with 23.2 points per game this season (Irving, BOS) and ranks sixth overall in the NBA (Harden, HOU, Lillard, POR, Curry, GSW, Westbrook, OKC and Irving, BOS). THE BUZZ BACKCOURT BUZZ In the Hornet s 133-126 win over Indiana on 2/2 Charlotte s starting backcourt combined for 72 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Kemba Walker scored 41 points, grabbed three boards and dished nine assists while Nicolas Batum poured in 31 points, while logging nine rebounds and two assists. This marks the first time two Hornets players have scored 30-or-more points in the same game since Batum and Walker did so at LAC on 2/26/17. SCORIN HORNETS In Charlotte s 133-126 win over the Pacers on 2/2, five Hornets players scored in double figures, including two players recording more than 30 points. The Hornets held a 49-37 lead at the end of the first quarter, recording a new franchise record for points in any quarter (previous: 47, done multiple times). Charlotte s 49 first-quarter points is the highest scoring quarter for any team in the NBA this season (previous: 48, done multiple times). The 133 total points matches a season high for points scored (last: 133 vs. WAS, 1/17). BLOCK PARTY Dwight Howard recorded 18 points, 15 rebounds and a season-high seven blocks against the Hawks on 1/26. This was Howard s third game with six-or-more blocks this season, after swatting as many shots at Chicago on 12/8 and vs. Sacramento on 1/22. He is the first Charlotte player to record multiple games with six blocks since Bismack Biyombo recorded three in 2011-12. With his four blocks at Miami on 1/27 Dwight Howard recorded his 2000 th career block, becoming only the 19 th player in NBA history to record 2000 or more blocks. MOST TRIPLE-DOUBLES IN CHARLOTTE HISTORY RANK PLAYER TALLY 1 Anthony Mason 7 2 Larry Johnson 5 3 Nicolas Batum 4 4 Baron Davis 3 BRILLIANT BATUM With 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in the win against Atlanta on 1/31, Nicolas Batum logged his first triple-double of the season, fourth with the franchise and eighth of his career. With four career triple-doubles with Charlotte, Batum has passed Baron Davis for the third most triple-doubles in franchise history. DON T CALL IT A COMEBACK The Hornets have recorded six wins this season when trailing by double-digit points, a few notes on their most notable comebacks are below: Charlotte recorded a 115-110 win over the Phoenix Suns on 2/4 after trailing by 21 points in the third quarter. This is the largest deficit the Hornets have overcome to win a contest this season (previous: 20 vs. ATL, 10/20) and was larger than any deficit overcome during the 2016-17 season (19, done twice). It is the largest deficit overcome by a Hornets team since trailing by 23 and coming back to win vs. San Antonio on 3/21/16. Charlotte trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half and was down by nine with 3:32 left in regulation before forcing overtime and earning a 129-124 win over Washington on 11/22. The Hornets recorded a 109-91 win on 10/20 vs. Atlanta in their home opener after trailing by as many as 20 points in the second quarter. GETTING TO THE LINE In the Hornets 118-107 win over Detroit on 1/15 Charlotte made a 22 free-throws on 33 attempts compared to just 11 attempts by the Pistons. Charlotte has attempted 1667 free throws through 63 games compared to just 1180 free throws attempted by Charlotte s opponents. The +487 free throws attempted margin for Charlotte ranks 1 st in the NBA. Charlotte s 26.5 free throws attempted per game ranks 1 st in the NBA. 20/20 VISION: In the Hornets 111-119 loss to Chicago on 12/08 Dwight Howard finished with 25 points, 20 rebounds and six blocks. The performance marked his second 20 point, 20 rebound game as a Hornet (25 points, 20 rebounds vs. MIN 11/20). He is only the third Charlotte player with multiple 20/20 games in a single season joining Larry Johnson (93-94) and Emeka Okafor (07-08). With 50 such games of 20 points and 20 rebounds, Howard is the active leader in the NBA (2 nd : Kevin Love with 16). Additionally, Howard had four games this season with 20 or more rebounds through just the first 24 games, setting a new franchise record for 20-rebound games in a season (previous: three, Rambis, 1988-89 and Okafor, 06-07). K3MBA WALK3R With 2 made three-pointers against the Phoenix Suns on 2/4, Kemba Walker became the franchise s all-time leader for three-point field goals made with 930, passing Dell Curry who had 929 in his career. Walker currently sits at 975. This came days after Walker set a new franchise record for three-pointers made in a game when he recorded 9 on 13 attempts at Atlanta on 1/31. STARRY EYED On Feb. 8, 2018, Kemba Walker was selected as an Eastern Conference All-Star for the second consecutive year. He finished the game with 11 points, two rebounds and an assist in 14 minutes off the bench, helping Team LeBron to a 148-145 win. Walker is the seventh player to represent Charlotte in the NBA All-Star game and just the fourth to do so multiple times, joining Larry Johnson (1993 and 1995), Alonzo Mourning (1994 and 1995) and Glen Rice (1996, 1997 and 1998).
