Junior World Championships for Women & Men Drzonków, Poland 20-26 May 2014 Dear Friends, The Polish Modern Pentathlon Association and the Organizing Committee has the pleasure to invite a Delegation of your National Federation to participate in the 2014 Modern Pentathlon Junior World Championship to be held in Drzonkow from May 20-26, according to the following schedule: May 19 May 20 May 21 May 22 May 23 May 24 May 25 May 26 May 27 Arrival of Delegations 13:00 Jumping test 21:00 Technical Meeting Women Relay Men Relay Women Semi-finals Men Semi-finals Women Final Men Final MIX Relay Departure of Delegations ATHLETES LICENSES Athletes are only allowed to participate in UIPM sanctioned events if they are in possession of a valid UIPM issued Athlete s License. Entry Forms will not be accepted if any athlete is missing his/her License Number. Please contact immediately UIPM Headquarters if your athlete is missing his/her License. If an athlete does not have a license they will not be allowed to take part in the competition. You are reminded Pentathletes without riding ability listed on their License card and without a letter from their NF confirming their ability to ride: - cannot compete in the Final - may compete in the qualifications for the Final, but if they do qualify for the Final, they must relinquish their place to the next pentathlete who has the ability to ride at all other events, may compete in all disciplines except the Riding. The competition will be carried out according to the UIPM rules. Swimming: 50 meter indoor 8 lane pool Fencing: 10 pistes Riding: a riding course of 350-450m length, consisting of 12 obstacles
Combined event: 38 laser targets. According to the UIPM rules, LASER PISTOL SHOOTING has been selected LPT APEOM. Laser pistols are the responsibility of each athlete, the LOC will NOT have reserved pistols. This selection by the organizers has been made in the best interest of Modern Pentathlon. Running: surface in grass INSURANCE According to UIPM rules, all members of attending delegations should insure themselves in case of accidental injury or illness. The organizers will not accept any responsibility, financial or other, for any loss, injury, or illness of any member of the delegation. ACCOMMODATION The participants will be accommodated at hotels in Zielona Góra and Drzonków. The Organizer reserves the right to individual team quartering on. ECONOMICAL CONDITIONS PLEASE NOTE: Single rooms are limited at the hotels and will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis only (with deposit). All rooms will be reserved through the LOC and will be guaranteed with an accompanying deposit. Any overflow will be accommodated at properties coordinated by the LOC. Apply to Rule 1.15.2, NF wishing to arrange its own accommodation must pay an Accreditation Fee per participant (athlete, coach or official) per day. The amount of the accreditation fee is set at 75 EUR per day with a minimum payment of 4 days. This fee entitles the participants to have lunch packets during competition days and to access the official transportation from the Headquarters hotel to competition sites and way back. TRANSPORTATION LOC guarantee transportation from the national airport Zielona Góra Babimost and Railway Station in Zielona Góra to the official hotels and the return journey. The Organizer will also provide transport /two coaches depend on the applications of Delegations/ from the Berlin Tegel Airport - Wednesday (19.05) and Tuesday (27.05). The cost is 30 EUR per person. In special cases it is possible to transport the Delegation from the Berlin airport in other days, after prior notification and agreement of the financial conditions with the Organizer (LOC). Transportation from the official hotels to the venue for athletes will be according to the competition programme. ENTRY FORMS All forms at the end of this invitation should be completed and submitted to the email address: pentathlonpl@gmail.com Entry A Informative By February 17, 2014 Entry B Preliminary By April 11, 2014 Entry C Final By April 21, 2014 If you do not complete the information required prior to the deadline, or we do not receive your delegation s deposit payment, then we will assume that your delegation is not participating. Delegations are reminded If, on arrival for the competition, the team has less athletes and/or officials than listed on their Final Entry Form and did not update the Organizing Nation/LOC at least 7 days prior to their arrival, the NF will pay a fine to the Organizing Nation/LOC of 200 Euros for each person failing to come. Following confirmation of the final entries, a NF must enter the competition with at least one
pentathlete. Any NF failing to take part after having sent their final entries will pay a fine of euro 750 to the UIPM. We would appreciate early confirmation of your intention to participate and submit this as Entry Form A. VISAS AND VACCINATIONS Visiting NFs should confirm visa and vaccination requirements for entry into POLAND prior travelling to the event. The LOC cannot accept responsibility for arranging visas but can provide specific letters of invitation if needed. For information if you need a visa or vaccinations please contact your nearest Embassy or Consulate. INSURANCE All members of the attending delegations should insure themselves in case of accidental injury or illness.
