CONGRATULATIONS!! Your child has been chosen to participate in the 2017 Baby Miss Cincinnati Mega Pageant Preliminary to the Baby Miss Ohio State Pageant. It takes a special kind of parent to take the time, energy and effort necessary to prepare and participate in a pageant. All Children's Pageants have many different Entry Fees. Instead of Entry Fees, our contestants sell ads, boosters and secure sponsors to cover the cost of participation, so that it doesn't add to your personal expenses of travel, competition attire, etc. Your child will receive a $100 PHOTO FEE FULL SPONSORSHIP towards the Photo Fee, along with a $100 Sponsorship for Cover Girl if the Registration Fee is complete by the deadline, Friday July 21 st. Please print this Registration Packet and read it carefully and then re-read it. The Baby Miss Cincinnati Winners will compete in the Baby Miss Ohio State Pageant. There are a limited number of Large positions available. We will accept entries on a first come basis, then we will begin notifying Candidate-at-Large Winners. The divisions fill up quickly! Complete the Registration Form under #2 immediately! The Registration is not confirmed until the Registration Fee is paid. We will be available to answer all your questions. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS There are NO ENTRY FEES. Each contestant must sell 1 Page of Ads to participate in the Baby Miss Cincinnati Mega Pageant. It s simple & easy! You can sell any combination of ad sizes if it equals 1 Page. The easiest way is to sell 8 - $20 ads! This is a fun way for your family & friends to participate in your child s National Pageant experience. All you need is 8 friends or family members, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins or neighbors to sponsor your child with a $20 ad or any size ads that equal a page. Deadline for Ads: August 18th REGISTRATION FEE Each contestant must send a $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE Registration Fee immediately to secure their position. As soon as we receive the Registration Form, we will send a PayPal Invoice. PAGEANT BOOK PHOTO REQUIREMENTS All contestants must have their picture in the Pageant Book. The Photo Fee is $150.00. Candidate-at-Large Winners will receive a $100 Photo Fee Sponsorship if Registration Fee is paid by the deadline: Friday July 21st Sponsors can be local businesses, beauty salons, grocery store, clothing stores, gift shops, civic associations, restaurants, family, parents or friends. Pageant Book will serve as a Scrapbook of Memories! Deadline for Photo: Friday August 4 th 3. PHOTO REQUIREMENTS Photo must be a Headshot with total emphasis on the face. Photos will be used to judge the Most Photogenic Winner and on the Score Sheets. We strongly suggest that you have a professional photo taken on a white or light background. You can take the photo yourself or you can walk-in without an appointment to JC Penney Photography, Picture People or Portrait Innovation and walk out with the digital copy to send to us by email to: photo@babymissamerica.com Deadline for Photo: Friday August 4th 4. COVER GIRL COMPETITION Cover Girl Competition is OPTIONAL totally separate from Most Photogenic. The Cover Girl Winner goes straight to Nationals and will be featured on the back cover of the Pageant Book. Cover Girl Competition Fee is $200.00. Candidate-at-Large Winners receive a $100 Sponsorship for the Cover Girl Competition if the Registration fee is paid by the July 21 st deadline. You will receive a separate form to list the Cover Girl Sponsors. Send any photo of your choice! But think, would this photo look good on the COVER. 5. COMPETITION ATTIRE Contestants will compete in 2 categories. Mardi Gras Competition and 1980 s FLASHBACK along with Mardi Gras Family Competition, 1980 s Family Competition, and 1980 s Family Karaoke Competition MARDI GRAS COMPETITION 1980 S COMPETITION Pop music stars like Cyndi Lauper ushered in an entirely new style. Bright colored accessories like sunglasses, bangles and hoop earrings were a necessity. Teased hair, loud makeup and neon were an important part of the1980 s.
6. PICTURE PACKAGE. Cameras & cell phones are not allowed in the Pageant Room. If you or a guest brings a camera or a cell phone into the Pageant Room, the contestant will be immediately disqualified. The Official Pageant Photographer will be at the pageant taking photographs of all events. You will receive a Picture Package Order Form to be turned in at Registration. Please be sure to tell your family and friends not to take the chance of having your child disqualified by having a camera or cellphone in the Pageant Ballroom. You will receive a Picture Package Order Form to take to registration. 7. ADMISSION TICKETS EVERYONE MUST HAVE AN ADMISSION TICKET to be admitted to the competitions, including parents. The competition is not open to the Public. The only way to obtain Admission Tickets is through a Contestant s Parent. We will have security at the door for the safety of the children, NO ONE will be allowed in without an Admission Ticket. There is limited seating. You will receive an Admission Ticket Order Form to be turned in at Registration. 8. HOST HOTEL Contestants are required to stay at the Host Hotel. You must make your own reservations and deal directly with the hotel. You will receive a Reservation Link for the Host Hotel along with all details and information after all deadlines are met. The pageant is not open to the general public and we do not advertise the location for the safety of the children. 9. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS A Schedule of Events is attached. 10. TROPHIES EACH CONTESTANT A PARTICIPATION TROPHY AND CROWN ON STAGE. EVERY CHILD IS A WINNER! Most Ads & Most Boosters Winners will be eligible to participate in the Baby Miss Ohio State Pageant. Cover Girl Winner goes straight to Nationals! There will be 7 Local Winners crowned to go to the Baby Miss Ohio State Pageant! 11. AGE DIVISIONS Contestants must be entered in the age division according to their age on the last day of the pageant. Failure to enter your child in the proper age division will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiting all trophies, titles, fees, etc. Please have a copy of your child s birth certificate with you at the pageant in the event of an age qualification challenge. BABY MISS 0-23 MONTHS TINY MISS 2 3 YEARS LITTLE MISS 4 6 YEARS CONTESTANTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR ANY MAKE-UP of ANY KIND! NO FAKE HAIR, NO FALSE TEETH or FLIPPERS, NO SPRAY TANS AND NO GO-GO JUICE! 12. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP is essential in all competition. Please applaud each contestant s performance on stage. If any contestant, parent or any member of the contestant s party does not conduct themselves in the proper manner or disrupts the pageant in any way at any time, before, during or after the pageant, it will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiting of all trophies, fees, titles, and eligibility to compete in future pageants. Any parent who cannot accept the decision of the judges should not enter pageant competition. 13. PAGEANT WORKSHOP WEBINARS There will be 5 ONLINE Workshop Webinars to help you prepare for the National Pageant and answer questions. Please be sure to add us to your CONTACT list so that you
will not miss any emails or information. The webinars are LIVE, if you miss a webinar, there are NO SUMMARIES OR REPLAYS available. If you cannot attend, please have a family member or friend listen for you. 14. DEADLINES - All forms, fees, photos etc. must be received by the deadline or there will be an immediate $100 late fee. If the ads are not received by the deadline, they will be omitted from the book. However, the ads are a requirement to compete. The Baby Miss America Pageant is not responsible for errors or omissions. All Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. We have a NON-REFUNDABLE policy on all fees. 15. We have lots of examples and templates available. Please be sure that you have a ¼ inch margin on the page. You can use the border of your choice. If you use photos in your ads, send a copy of the photo as an attachment. The contestant that sells the Most Ads will go straight to the State Pageant. There is a 1 Page minimum. Please design Ads as an Editable Word Document or Editable Publisher Document. Please check with us before using any other program. Boosters BOOSTERS ARE OPTIONAL! Have you ever been to a High School Football game and in the Program Book, you see a list of Boosters? Boosters donate money to help support the team. Our Boosters work the same way! Boosters are $1.00 each. People can buy 1 Booster or as many as they chose. Here s your Booster Form. Make copies and ask your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, church family, etc. to be a Booster! It s that easy! Your local grocery store will probably allow you to put up a table in front like the Girl Scouts! Have people print their name in the blank. You will submit the Boosters in a WORD document, in 10 point, using the ARIAL NARROW Font, without lines, in a single column. The contestant that sells the Most Boosters will receive a 6 Foot Trophy, Crown & Banner and will be eligible to compete in the Baby Miss Ohio State Pageant!! 1 Page Minimum required. There are 300 Boosters to a page.
