Measuring Principle The principle of measuring the differential pressure is based on the fact that a differential pressure is created across that section of a pipe where its cross section is reduced. This is then taken as a measure for the flow. For the differential pressure produced (differential pressure p at the point where the pressure is read) and the flow q, the flowing equation applies: This principle of measurement is so popular because related terms, definitions and equipment characteristics have been laid down by way of standards already at a very early stage. The agreement between theoretical calculations and measured values has been proven through comprehensive experiments. This has been the basisfor wide-spread acceptance throughout the industry. Today, about 50% of all flow meters rely on the principle of measuring the differential pressure.

The Teksens Compact Orifice Flowmeter Series is designed for closed loop control and general purpose monitoring applications. This design lowers the total installed cost of DP Flow measurement points eliminating the need for fittings,impulse tubing, valves, adapters and manifolds by providing a single device packaged together for simplified installation. By integrating Autrol pressure transmitters with the Compact Orifice primary element,we deliver the highest performing Flowmeters which arrive assembled, calibrated,pressure tested, and ready to install. Switch Positions Valve Manifold

Wiring method is following this. (1) Open the housing cover indicated "FIELD TERMINAL". In explosion environment when circuit is powered on, don't open the covers. (2) Connect the power supply in the terminal indicated "+PWR"(left terminal) and "-" power supply in the central terminal. Don't connect "+" power supply in "+" terminal of the point indicated "TEST". It will be damage to test diode used to connecting TEST terminal. (3) Seal and close the non-using Conduit Connection Part for severe humidity and explosion on the terminal box of housing. (4) Transmitter power is supplied to Signal Wiring. So, don't install near to Signal Wiring with Power Wiring or near to Power Apparatus. In case of ground signal, ground the signal loop's one side and other side is not grounded. Promote to ground "-" side of power. (5) For the better adjustment completely turn Screw terminal. (6) Again close the transmitter cover. Specially in case of using in explosion area, you must to satisfy requirement about explosion. Don't supply high voltage (AC power) in transmitter leads. It can be caused damages to transmitter. (7) You have to connect 250~600 W Loop Resistor in Current Loop(between Power Supply and Transmitter) for HART Communication HART. Following Figure 4-2 about conection of Current Loop.
