THE ASTON MARTIN LE MANS FESTIVAL Aston Martin returns to the fantastic Le Mans Festival race, previously held this iconic marque in 2015. Aston Martin Racing customers will have the unique opportunity to race at the Circuit de la Sarthe as part of the world s most famous endurance racing event -- the 24 Hours of Le Mans -- and get insider access as a TRG behind-thescenes, VIP backstage pass holder. TRG was atop the podium in 2015 and is looking forward to doing again. Your experience will include exclusive TRG benefits as well as pre-track access and viewing of the race start and the main 24-hour event, as well as practice and qualifying sessions in the preceding days.
LE MANS FESTIVAL 2018 DRIVERS The event is open to all Aston Martin Racing-built GT and prototype cars including the DBR1-2, DBR9 GT1, Vantage GT2, DBRS9 GT3, Vantage GT3 and Vantage N24/GT4, as well as a special invitational class for the new Vulkans and Valkyries. In total, drivers will have almost three hours of track time on this unique 13.6 km circuit, culminating in a 45-minute sprint race on Saturday morning directly before the start of the 24 hours of Le Mans.
LE MANS FESTIVAL 2018 HISTORY OF LE MANS The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the world s oldest, active endurance sportscar race, held annually since 1923. Considered to be one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world, it is organized by the Automobile Club de l Quest (ACO) and runs on the Circuit de la Sarthe, a circuit mixing closed public roads and tarmac that is a grueling test of endurance for car and driver. Aston Martin Racing has earned nine podiums over the last 10 years at Le Mans, including class wins in 2006, 2008, 2013 and that thrilling 2017 victory with that final lap pass.
THE RACERS GROUP LE MANS LEGACY In 2002, a little known privately held team from the USA - The Racers Group - entered the world famous endurance classic and defying all of the odds, team owner and driver Kevin Buckler and his teammates drove their way to a GT class victory on their very first try. Buckler went on to earn the coveted Porsche World Cup as Porsche s most acclaimed driver during that season, which also included a victory at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona.
THE PARADE The Le Mans Festival drivers have been invited to attend the official Le Mans Drivers Parade which will take place in the days leading up to the event. This highly anticipated festival atmosphere is one of the highlights of the week and will see the drivers of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Aston Martin Le Mans Festival along with more than 100,000 spectators in attendance for this celebration in the historic Le Mans City Centre.
