8 th Grade Goes to Wayne State College The Emerson- Hubbard eighth graders went on a college visit on April 9, 2014, to Wayne State College as part of the EducationQuest 8 th Grade Campus Visit Grant Program. This program provides funding to Nebraska schools to coordinate college campus visits for eighth grade students. The funds are also used to help eighth grade students explore careers and complete other activities that should increase the likelihood they will go to college. The students participated in activities in the Planetarium with Dr. T. Young and the Industrial Technology Department with Greg Vander Weil. They also had a Q&A session with three college students from small towns around Nebraska and ate in the cafeteria. The students decided that going to college is something they could all achieve.
