They are also handy to have for home use. These cards can be purchased by Lions and non-lions at any time of the year. For additional information either give Lion Nancy or myself a call or see me at the meeting. If you want to order Scrip cards at our dinner meeting, bring a check and we can go from there, it normally takes about 7 or 8 days to get the cards.
The Registration Form - for the MD-1 Forum in Springfield next month is attached to this copy of the Lions Tail. If you want additional information, it is in the October issue of the Illinois Lions Magazine sent to you on October 5 th. IF you deleted this copy, let me know and I will send you another copy. The 2017-18 Sandwich Lions Roster - has been completed and will be distributed at our October dinner meeting. There are only enough copies for each Lion to receive one (1) copy. If you require an additional copy, I can e-mail you a PDF copy of the roster. A LIEF Sustaining Supporter (SS) - is one way that an individual can support our Lions of Illinois Endowment Foundation (LIEF). The cost of each SS donation is $25 and you can purchase as many as you want. During the Lions year, our Club will match the 1 st SS donation made by a Sandwich Lion for themselves. The easiest way to guarantee that the Club matches your donation is to forward your check to our treasurer, Lion Rita. When you accumulate 21 SS donations, 20 of those SS donations can be converted to a LIF Fellow. For additional information, give me a call or ask about it at the dinner meeting. If interested in - Sandwich Lions activates on Facebook, talk to Lion Beth Nelson about our Facebook page. Lions Beth and Mike Burgin have been working on this. The second Southwest zone meeting will not be held this Lions year. Instead they have held a District service project. The final road clean-up - for this calendar year will be Saturday, October 21 st - weather permitting. Clean-up will start at 8 am at our Savior Lutheran Church on West Sandwich Road. Any questions, contact Lion Sharon. Membership is - always a challenge and the Sandwich Lions Club is not an exception. If you know of someone who would make a good Lion, bring them to our next Club meeting as a guest. Let s get our membership back up to over the 50 mark. Also, if you know of any former military members that might want to join; let me know as there are some special perks available for joining a Lions Club. Former Lion members who do not have the commitments that they once did are good candidates as new member. The Lions of Illinois Foundation will again have - the Chili s program from November 1 st through January 31 st, 2018. This fund raiser has been very successful. Chili s coupons will be here very soon. Lion Ron Wigton Secretary Lions annual Candy Day set for October 13 th & 14 th in Sandwich
