Kennebec River Big Waves, Big Whitewater, Big Fun! Maine s Most Popular River. Whitewater rafting on the Kennebec yesterday with the family...an amazing experience! We had two rafts. Penobscot River The Most Challenging Whitewater in New England Rafting on the Penobscot can be summed up simply as one of the biggest thrills and one of the most peaceful times wrapped together. Obviously, the rapids are the source of the thrills but the time in between is so peaceful...just the sound of the river, beautiful scenery, a salmon fisherman or two and maybe even an eagle... so relaxing. Bobby was a great guide who made the trip very enjoyable. The river lunch was met with much anticipation nothing like eating outside after a day on the river. Kudos to the guys.. Paul Fredericton, NB, Canada The Penobscot is the most technically challenging river in Maine and one of the best in the United States. You will experience technical rapids, exposed rocks, steeper gradients and awesome whitewater. The river is set in the shadow of mile high Mt. Katahdin and on the perimeter of Baxter State Park. Eagle, osprey, moose and bear sightings are not uncommon, while the river abounds with salmon and trout. TRIPS OFFERED ON THE PENOBSCOT: PENOBSCOT FULL RIVER TRIP Run the more moderate Lower Section in the morning and the more challenging Upper Gorge in the afternoon, this trip runs every rapid on the river and floats by mile high Mt. Katahdin. Minimum age is 12 years (includes all rapids); 10 years (excludes class 5 sections); 5 years (excludes class 3-5 sections). PENOBSCOT ULTIMATE Run the Upper Gorge two times this trip focuses on the Class 5 Upper Section and does not run the Lower Section. Minimum group size requirement or join an existing trip. Minimum age is 12 years. PENOBSCOT TWO DAY TRIP Treat yourself to one of our best trips. Raft the Full River Trip on day one and the Ultimate on day two. Each day begins and ends at our Penobscot River base, camping and lodging is available on site or through local establishments. Minimum group size requirement for the Ultimate or join an existing trip. Minimum age is 12 years. 6 800-348-8871 (U.S and Canada) 207-672-4814 Fax 207-672-4176

They were easy to work with and their facilities and equipment were excellent. One of my parents was so impressed they came back the following week for one of North Country s Turbine Test release trips. My Troop is looking to make rafting with North Country Rivers a regular event. Don - Scoutmaster Troop 1 - Haverhill, MA www.northcountryrivers.com Book Your Reservation Online Today! 9
