Round # 1 UCI Track Cycling World Cup 30 th October 1 st November 2015 Cali, officially known as Santiago de Cali, it is the capital of Valle del Cauca and the third most populated city of Colombia. It is located in the south-western part of the country, guarded by the Farallones de Cali, which make part of the Andes mountain chain. Cali is known as the Sport Capital of America and host of many major sports events that take place in Colombia. Among the most important sporting events that have taken place in our city we ve hosted the VI Pan American Games in 1971. We are also proud to have been the host of many World Championships in different sports. Cali hosted the UCI Track Cycling World Cup for the twelfth time in 2013 and, between July 25th and August 4th 2013 hosted the World Games. In 2014 it hosted the Track Cycling World Championships. Cali is famous for its historical places, entertainment and day and night activities. It is also the World s Capital of Salsa. It is one of the major economic and industrial centers of the country, and the main economic, industrial, and agrarian city of the Colombian southwest. A charge will be made per 1 hour and a half (1 ½) for training session: USD $100, 00 *The track has to be shared with other teams because there are other delegations that need and want to train the days previous the official training sessions. Cali C1 Event.- Competition Schedule and Team Numbers. IMPORTANT NOTE: The schedule for the Cali round is different to the other rounds in the 2015/16 UCI Track Cycling World Cup series. The racing in Cali will be held over 3 full days and there are four additional Class 1 races included. These are shown highlighted on the Cali competition schedule. Men s Points Race 30Km Men s Individual Pursuit - 4Km Women s Scratch Race - 10Km Men s Madison Race 30Km These races are additional and separate to the World Cup and World Cup rider quotas. These races will be awarded Class 1 points. Nations and teams are encouraged to enter additional riders into these races. Page 4
Rider Numbers in each Class 1 event are limited to 24 riders in the Woman Scratch and Men s Points Races and 18 teams for the Madison. Selection of the field where necessary will be made in accordance with the current UCI World Ranking. Rider quotas for the World Cup races remain the same as per UCI regulations 3.4.004 to 3.4.007bis. All entries are due to be made via the UCI entry system. Antidoping controls It will be held inside the Velodrome Address: VELODROMO ALCIDES NIETO PATIÑO, Of. 8 - Unidad Deportiva Alberto Galindo Miscellaneous Airport Transport The Organising Committee will provide transportation to and from the International Airport ALFONSO BONILLA ARAGON for national teams. As per the UCI guidelines, only one pick-up per team on arrival and only one drop-off per team on departure will be provided. Transportation will be provided by the Organising Committee from 21 st October. All national teams arriving before this date may be charged for this service. UCI registered teams may be charged an airport transfer fee should they wish to use the Organising Committee transport. UCI Registered teams should indicate if they wish to access OC transport. Venue Transport A free shuttle will be provided between the abovementioned hotels and velodrome. This service will start in the morning of the 27 th October for the official trainings. Schedules will be visible in the Information Desk of the Organising Committee located in the Lobby of the Teams Hotels. Visas Each Federation/Team is responsible for obtaining the appropriate entry documentation for their delegations.
