Coaches, Coach's Information 2017 LONE STAR CIRCLE OF CHAMPIONS VARSITY INVITATIONAL Tournament Information Welcome aboard for the third annual 2017 LONE STAR CIRCLE OF CHAMPIONS. The dates for the tournament will be Friday, August 25 th thru Saturday, August 26 th. The entry fee for the tournament will be $425.00 per team. No exceptions to this rule every team must pay the $425.00 entry fee in its entirety. Entry fee of $425.00 payable to PSA Mail Checks To: PSA Attn: Starla Seabaugh 6500 Preston Meadow Drive Plano, TX 75024 Location: PSA (Plano Sports Association) 330 North Murphy Road Murphy, 75094 Ticket Prices: $10.00 per day for adults or a $16.00 pass for both days of competition. $4.00 per day for students or an $7.00 pass for both days of competition. Programs will be available for $5.00 Tournament Parking: Parking will be on site and overflow parking will be in the Kimbrough stadium parking lot and shuttled over. ALL BUSES are to drop of players and coaches and park in the overflow lot (Kimbrough Stadium) and a shuttle bus will bring the drivers over. NO OUTSIDE CHAIRS PLEASE (bleachers chairs are alright) Warm-up Balls: You will need to provide your own warm-up balls. Trainers: There will be trainers on site but you will need to provide, pre wrap, tape, bandaids, etc.
Work Team: This year teams will help to ref when not playing. Each ref team will provide 2 linejudges, libero tracker, clock, and book so check the schedules closely to see when your team refs. Food: There is a beautiful food court that will have many options for fans and players. I know that most teams bring Tournament Food and there will be designated areas outside of the facility for your tables. -NO OUTSIDE FOOD can be brought into the facility. -Boxed lunches will be available -Order forms will be sent in advance of the tournament for pre-orders Hospitality Room: As most of you know we will take care of you with some very good grub every day at the tournament. Warm-UP area: There is a full indoor soccer field at the location and we are being given access to this area for jogging, stretching, and arm warmups. NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN HERE PLEASE This has been an issue the past few years so I need you to stress this to your girls PLAYERS AND COACHES ONLY Sportsmanship for Players/Coaches/Fans: There will be no verbal or physical abuse of an official at any time during the tournament. Any person that is guilty of this will be denied access to the tournament for the remaining days of competition from the time the incident occurs and will be reported to the UIL. Players/coaches must display good conduct to officials and opposing teams. It is the right of Starla Seabaugh or Brittany Bridge, Tournament Directors, to remove any person(s) that show unjust behavior that is detrimental to the tournament or its workers. Format: Friday, August 25 th The facility will open at 7:30am for teams with the early matches First matches start at 9:00am 8 courts of 4 team pools Crossover matches will be played at 5:15pm and 6:30pm Saturday, August 26 th The facility will open again at 7:30 am First round of bracket play starts at 9:00 am The last match of the day will start at 4:30 pm

Work team when not playing-check the schedule Note: May be a coach or parent 2. Conduct of all team members and team supporters 3. Professionalism and courtesy are expected toward ALL tournament staff and match officials 4. Please Bring your own volleyballs (we may provide them but just in case) DO NOT bring food or drinks into the playing areas Designated eating areas are available near the food court NO OUTSIDE CHAIRS (bleacher chairs are alright) Remember to submit your selections for the all-tournament team immediately after each match has been completed at the scorer s table.
Warm Up Procedure Warm up time is 3-5-5-2 Warm up time can be reduced to 2-4-4-1 if behind schedule Trophies are awarded for: 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd places in the Championship Bracket 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd places in the Challenger Bracket
Format & Scoring Each Match is Best 2 out of 3 sets Each set is rally point scoring to 25 points Each set has 30 point cap (No cap in Championship Match) Division Play followed by Crossover & Bracket Play Division Play matches will start on time.
