COMPETITIVE DIVISION PARENT MEETING
AYSO's Vision is to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives. AYSO's Mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on AYSO s Six Philosophies.
Open Registration Our program is open to all children ages 4-18. Interest and enthusiasm for soccer are the only criteria for playing. There are no elimination tryouts and no one gets cut.
Everyone Plays Our program s goal is for children to play soccer, so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least 50% of every game.
Balanced Teams Each year we form new teams as evenly balanced as possible.
Positive Coaching A coach can be one of the most influential people in a child s life so AYSO requires that coaches create a positive experience for every player.
Good Sportsmanship We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win at all costs attitude.
Player Development We believe all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.

Slimy Sideline Sayings Things we have actually heard on the sidelines: Don t! Why did you? Don t kick the ball at the goalie! Why did you kick it out? Star Supporter Statements What we should hear on the sidelines: Good try! Nice shot! Go (insert team name)! Keep trying! Nice effort! In order to play a game of soccer you need four things a coach, referees, players and supportive sideline spectators
Under no circumstances should spectators question the referee calls. If a question arises, the coach may speak to the referee once the game has ended. If a spectator would like to learn more about how referees make calls, they can enquire at the red tent about referee trainings.
