Scottish Schools Minors Ski Races 2017 Sponsored by Midlothian Snowsport Centre Sunday 1st October 2017 Start List Race office Opens Chiefs and Referees report to Chief of Race Jury Meeting (if required) Gate Judges report to Chief Gate Judge Bibs / Racer Profiles Issued (Team Leader to collect) 12-30pm 1.00pm 1.15pm 1.15pm 12.45pm Timekeepers and Recorders report to Chief of Timekeeping 12.30pm Course Inspection for all competitors (Both Seniors and Minors) Race Starts 1.30-2.10pm 2.30pm Race Course: Tow Slope from the top (second Red Path). Race Order: Run 1, Minors Girls followed by Minor Mixed followed by Minor Boys, Run 2, Minors Girls followed by Minor Mixed followed by Minor Boys. All racing in Minors races will be considered for Individual Awards. Both times are required. The best three times from each run determines the team time, except Mixed when both a Girls and a Boys time must be included in the calculation for both runs. The Race consists of two timed runs per individual. 2. The three fastest individuals times are added together to give a composite Team time per run. 3. Mixed Teams - The fastest Girls time, the fastest Boys time and the fastest of the two remaining times are used calculate the Team time per run. 4. The composite times from both runs are added together to give a final team time. 5. Times will be recorded for all completed runs 6. Times considered may be from a different combination of racers for each run. 7. Teams with three racers are at a disadvantage as all racers will be required to record a time. 8. Any request for a re-run must be made to the Race Referee by "Skiing out" or making a request including the reason for the request to the Finish Referee at the time. 9. Requests made after leaving the Race Area cannot be considered. 10. The Race Referees decision is final. 11. In the event of a racers time not being generated, a re-run will be given. 12. Individuals must record a time on both runs to be considered for an Individual Award. 13. Individual times will be calculated by adding together the two times recorded. 14. Trophies / medals will be awarded to the fastest three qualifying teams in each category, and to the three fastest individual Girls and three fastest individual Boys.
