The end f June was a whirlwind with an epic haul t Crnell University with a great grup f Sufflk 4-H ers. 4 days, 77,693 steps, 35.49 miles, and 15 hurs in a van with 6 teenage girls, and I survived. Barely. Just kidding (srt f), I am pretty sure I had a better time than ur yuth did! We are nw gearing up fr the visit frm Texas 4-H and cannt wait t meet them all! The Career Ex 2016 Lng Island Crew Career Explratins 2016 What an awesme experience! This year s Career Explratins was a great success. We had yuth participate in bth the University U and Fcus fr Teens prgrams. 11 Sufflk Cunty yuth made the 7 1/2 hur (thank yu traffic) trek up t Crnell University Mnday mrning t get in early and be well rested fr the week. And the week was...hot. And humid. And ht. Did we mentin...ht?! We frget hw lucky we are dwn here with ur nice castal breezes. But, everyne was a trper and we learned A LOT. Frm building crystal radis, seeing inside a cw s stmach, dissectins, rbts, grges, rivers, astrnmy, and lts and lts f walking (especially the UU yuth and leaders), we made new friends and great memries! We ended with anther 7 1/2 hur (thanks again traffic) trek back t Lng Island Thursday night fueled by delicius treats frm Crnell s Dairy Bar. We had s much fun and cannt wait fr next year!
