Our two campuses will be together for a busy morning next Friday. The morning will kick off with our Geography Bee at 8:00. Find out who all of the Lutheran Schools of Michigan will be supporting as this year s Hearts for Jesus mission at chapel following the Geography Bee. Then join us in the gym for our end of the season Pep Rally where we will recognize our cheerleaders and basketball teams, watch the cheer dance, shout our lungs out in our class cheers and see which eighth grader can find their M&M first in the annual pie contest. PLEASE make sure you are viewing the correct bracket. There is one bracket for JV and one for Varsity. **Varsity's first round game begins at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 19 at the TRENTON Rd. Campus. Therefore, varsity players will be dismissed from class at 2:40 to change in order to leave the building by 2:50. **JV's first game begins at 6:20 on Friday, January 20, at the PENN Rd. Campus, so all JV players should arrive by 5:45 pm.
Concordia Mom2Mom Sale! Our next sale is on Saturday, March 10th at the North campus. We will have 40 tables of gently used children s items at the sale. You can help this be a great event in several ways: Volunteer! We need volunteers to make this sale a success! A Sign - Up Genius will be set up soon. A few hours of your time will make a world of difference! Get a table! If you want to get a table at the sale or have a question, send an email to ConcordiaMom2Mom@gmail.com. Donate your items! Our goal is to have a room filled with your donations to sell and make additional funds for Concordia. We will need donations of items and time to really make this successful. Please wait until AFTER the auction on 2/18 to bring in those donations. Tell your friends! Like our Facebook page (Concordia Mom2Mom Sale) and share our event to help promote the sale! Print the flyer and post at your library, doctor s office, grocery store, etc. Shop at the sale! Wear your Concordia t-shirt and bring your kids in their Concordia gear. This Spring sale is a great opportunity to let our community know about Concordia and is perfect timing for signing up new families during our registration period. So let s all chip in to make it a huge success! Accelerated Reader Challenge The annual AR Challenge begins on January 29. The contest runs through March 3. Any elementary LCMS school in the United States and Canada that is presently using the Accelerated Reader program may enter the contest. All students must be independent readers. The purpose of this challenge is to provide an incentive and motivation for our children at Lutheran schools to read more, get smarter and have fun. Reading for this contest can occur anywhere the children are at home, at school, in the car, etc. All reporting of points will be done by each school s coordinator via the AR Challenge web site. We need your HELP! The AUCTION is less than a month away and we have very few wine donations. If you would like to contribute, please leave wine in the school office. Thank you for supporting CLS!
