Section 4: First Aid Measures SAFETY DATA SHEET Drain Power Page 2 of 5 Eye Contact: Skin Contact: Inhalation: Ingestion: Immediately flush eyes with cool running water for a minimum of 15 minutes. Check for and remove contact lenses. Hold eyelids away from eye while continuing to flush with water. Get medical help immediately. Immediately flush skin with running water for a minimum of 20 minutes. Start flushing while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. If burning or irritation persists, then continue to flush with water and get medical help. Do not apply any ointments to affected skin unless directed by a physician. Discard heavily contaminated clothing and shoes. Otherwise launder clothes in a separate wash before reuse. Move victim to fresh air. Give artificial respiration ONLY if breathing has stopped. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen and get medical help immediately. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. If victim is alert and not convulsing, rinse mouth with water and give 1/2 to 1 glass of water to dilute material. If spontaneous vomiting occurs, have victim lean forward with head down to avoid breathing in of vomitous. IMMEDIATELY contact physician or poison control center. Do not release runoff from fire to sewers or waterways. Section 6: Accidental Release Measures Personal Precautions: Spill Clean Up: Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Ventilate area. Wear appropriate respirator when ventilation is inadequate, and put on appropriate protective equipment before handling material, (see section 8 for appropriate respirator and PPE). Absorb spill with an inert material and place into plastic waste container. Wash floors and other contaminated surfaces with a neutralizing solution (soda ash or lime). Rinse surfaces with fresh water. Ensure adequate decontamination of equipment following clean-up. Dispose of spill material and clean-up solutions according to all federal, state and local regulations. Section 7: Handling and Storage Handling: Do not ingest. Do not get into eyes or on skin or clothing. Do not breath fumes or vapor spray. Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not use or mix with other chemicals. Do not reuse the empty product container. Wash thoroughly after handling this product. Observe all of the label precautions. Storage: Keep containers tightly closed.
