Administrative Responsibilities Registration CEP SafeSport Background Screening Age Module Training Concussion Training

Concussion Training and Guidelines Player and Coach safety starts with the helmet WEAR IT STRAPPED! That is the rule. You can face up to a 30-day suspension for not properly wearing your helmet. Concussion Training and Guidelines Know the quick on bench assessment tools to help you keep your players safe Follow the Main Rule When in doubt sit them out!

Concussion Guidelines Print this out and laminate a copy and keep it with you.

Concussion return to play protocol Medical professionals, coaches, officials and parents may remove a player suspected of being concussed. Once a player is removed from a game, he/she must obtain medical approval prior to returning to play. Return to play must be provided by a doctor or medical profession.

Running your team Coaches conduct Rule XIV H. Coaches, managers, minor officials or players exuding the scent of alcohol, or while using any tobacco products (including chewing tobacco) or while using e-cigarettes, shall not be allowed within the players bench area or the penalty box area. Team meetings Locker room monitoring, gender equity

Co-Ed Locker Rooms When both male and female players are on a team special consideration needs to paid to getting dressed and undressed. Separate locker rooms, with gender appropriate locker room monitors, are the ideal. Taking turns getting dressed in one locker room is the next best option. Separate locker rooms should not impact the amount or quality of coaching available to each player.

Working with your manager Clearly communicate your expectations to your manager Always say thank you

Substitute Goalies How the goalie substitution process works in the regular season At your level or lower (cannot be from a higher level) Within your own association first Within your district next Must wear his/her own jersey Substituting cannot interfere with his/her own team activities and must follow the rest rules two hours from scheduled finish to start Must have District Director approval (both districts if playing outside D3)

Substitute Goalie for Post-Season Play The process and paperwork are similar, but this allows you to pick up back up goalie. This goalie can only play in the situation where your goalie becomes unable to play due to injury, illness or other extenuating circumstance. The back up goalie is allowed to practice with the team.

CCM High Performance Programs High Performance spring program, individual player based Highlight individual player talents ultimate goal of being selected for the national team Players are invited to try out; 3 session tryout AA and A coaches (or highest level at your association) are encouraged to attend invite meeting and evaluate (IT IS IN YOUR PLAYERS BEST INTEREST!!)
