PRO IFX YEAR Spain Training Program
THE PROGRAM Through its partnership with International Futbol X-Change (IFX), generation adidas international is proud to offer qualified players a unique training experience in Spain. The Pro IFX Year enables competitive players over the age of 18 to play for a Spanish semi-professional/amateur club for a full or half a season. Players are placed to train and compete with a Spanish club according to their level of play and will experience a challenging football environment that allows tremendous opportunity for development. IFX manages the full international transfer of each player, enabling participation in official league matches. Not only does this program give qualified players access to an extensive club network, but it also allows them to experience life in another country. Players live in a shared apartment with other roommates and attend an intensive language institute, enabling rapid advancement in the Spanish language. The program is available for the whole academic year (July through May), for the fall semester (July through December) and for the spring semester (January through May). If a player takes part in the Pro 30 Day program first and the partner club offers him the opportunity to stay and compete with their club for the rest of their current season or for the following season, the player may elect to enroll in the Pro IFX Year program, enabling extension of their stay in Spain for the agreed upon duration and competition with the Spanish club. THE PROGRAM This program will give players not only valuable international soccer experience, but they are also educated about the culture of the people of Spain. Players are immersed in a foreign culture, amidst a new language, with other players from all corners of the globe. It is an unforgettable life experience, providing a new perspective by sharing with players from different walks of life that all share a passion for the same beautiful game. This is a unique chance to live fútbol in one of the worldʼs most passionate soccer countries and with some of the worldʼs most passionate supporters.

Subject to playersʼ level and partner clubʼs desire to utilize participant in official matches.) With world class clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia, Spain consistently dominates the most coveted European cup competitions. With a rich history of professional and amateur football, Spainʼs extensive league system provides opportunities for all levels of players to compete and develop as players. Enjoying one of the most temperate European climates, Spanish football runs year round with quality field conditions even in the dead of winter. While the Spanish style tends to be be more individualistic than their English and German neighbors, Spanish clubs from youth through professional have tremendous capability both tactically and technically. Training sessions are designed and orchestrated to fully develop the playersʼ quickness of decision making while promoting their creativity and individualism. IFX players are placed within a competitive Spanish football club fit to their level. Players are placed within an environment that will challenge the player and allow tremendous opportunity for development, while keeping in mind their physical strength and technical foundation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Transfers: Public transportation throughout Spanish is very accessible. Transportation costs are the studentʼs responsibility, including daily transportation to and from school, if necessary. Orientat ion and support: Academi c year, fall and spring semester students are given an orientation upon arrival in Spain.. Ongoing program support is provided by an in country program representative. Visa information: Students will need to obtain a student visa to study in Spain and are required to apply for a residence permit for the duration of their stay. While citizens of the United States are permitted to apply for the student visa after arrival in Spain, citizens of other countries may not enjoy this same benefit. Please check with your local Spanish consulate for their requirements for your country of residence. Player Requirements: Players must be at least 18 years at the start of the program High School graduate Currently competing at a competitive level of soccer Flexible and mature personality, desire to be challenged, ability to remain open-minded and tolerant of cultural differences, ability and willingness to adapt to a new environment, new culture, and European soccer style Ability to meet student visa requirements. Applicants are responsible for checking with responsible Spanish consulate for their area.
TERMS & CONDITIONS Program Dates: Program available for the whole academic year (July May), for the fall semester (July December) and for the spring semester (January May) Application Procedure: Submit an application form Upon receipt of your completed application and program deposit outlined in the application packet, we shall proceed with processing your application and determine your qualification for the program and desired destination. Application Deadline: March 31 for the academic year and the fall semester; October 1 for the spring semester Program does not include: Passport and visa application fees as applicable Personal expenses (e.g. toiletries, clothing, internet, calling card, activities) School expenses (e.g. supplies, books, bus/train pass) Student Residence Program Meals not included Language school tuition not included, but enrollment mandatory estimated tuition is 1500 3000 Euros per year Anything else not mentioned in the Program includes section In country transportation (train/bus passes, etc.)
