DAVID SEELEY president On behalf of the Brisbane District Golf Association Management Committee I am pleased to present the 2016 Annual Report of the Association. The associations plan to increase club member input to our decision making process has been initiated and shown positive results to date. We have also continued to support Junior Golf within our member Clubs with pleasing results (a positive increase in sub-juniors at our golf days). I would like to thank retiring committee members Dr. Peter Monks and Mr. Lex Hughes both men have made a significant contribution to the B.D.G.A. in their varying capacities and these contributions have had a positive effect on the operations of the Association. Thanks also to the Match Chairman Bruce Nicol for his tireless work in organising a facilitating B.D.G.A. events. Mr. Steve King proved a sturdy force in his position as delegate to Golf Queensland, thanks Steve. Mr. Neil Thompson once again handled the financial affairs of the association with astute awareness of our needs. I would also like to thank the several people who gave assistance to the association in varying capacities throughout the year in particular Mr. Jim Cox who regularly informed our member clubs and delegates of impending events and meeting dates. Finally I would like to express my thanks to clubs and delegates for their continued support of the association. David Seeley President 3
