Entry Procedure: ENTRY FEE: There will be an entry fee of $25 per athlete not to exceed $300 per gender. Please bring cash or a check (made out to the University of Iowa Track and Field) to packet pick up. No credit cards will be accepted. There will be no refunds for scratches or no show athletes. There will be a visiting team squad limit of 34 per team. B teams will be permitted in the 4x400m relay event. Registration for this year s Musco Twilight will take place via the Internet at www.directathletics.com. *Deadline for registration is Tuesday, April 28 th at 5 p.m. (CST) Scoring: The MEET WILL BE SCORED. 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1 One (1) relay per team scores. Meet Conduct: NCAA rules will be followed.
Check In: Please pick up team packets in the southwest corner of the track, near the track shed. Meet information, competitors bibs and heat sheets will be in the team packet. All scratches will be between 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. when you pick up your packet on the day of the meet. Coaches Meeting: There will be a coaches meeting at 1:00 p.m. near the finish line and we ask that you provide a representative from your coaching staff to be present at that time. Weigh In: Blocks: At the track and field shed: Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. return to pick up implements 30 minutes before the first throwing event. Blocks will be furnished and held for athletes. Surfaces & Spikes: 400 meter poured track surface. Athletes are required to wear ¼ pyramids spikes or less. All spikes will be inspected. Javelin and Jump runways are of the same material. The throwing circles are concrete. Track Inspection/Practice: Track is open for inspection and practice after 4 p.m. on Friday. Team Parking: Buses will need to drop athletes off at the Cretzmeyer Track. Once the athletes are dropped off, please park the bus at the Roy G. Karro Athletics Hall of Fame building, 2425 Prairie Meadow Drive (off of Mormon Trek). A Cambus shuttle will be provided Saturday to and from the Cretzmeyer Track throughout the day for the drivers and volunteers. Dressing/Showering Facilities: Dressing and shower facilities will be available in the men s and women s locker rooms located on the main level of the UI Recreation Building, 930 Stadium Drive. You will need to bring your own towels. Athletic Training Facilities: Athletic trainers and training facilities will be available to all teams throughout the duration of the meet and two hours prior to competition. Housing: For any assistance with finding hotel arrangements, the best resource is the website for the Iowa City/Coralville Convention & Visitors Bureau, www.iowacitycoralville.org. Coaches Instructions Competitors must wear their bibs (with last names) on the front, except for pole vault. Athletes must wear hip numbers on their left hip. They must pick up hip numbers at the clerk s tent when they check-in for their event.
When they have finished competing, they must retain their credential to re-enter any sites of competition or team areas. Security will not permit any person who lacks a credential into team areas or event sites Calls for events will be as follows: 1 st call 15 minutes before event Final call 5 minutes before event Only athletes competing in on-going field events will be permitted on the infield of the track. Coaches please stay off the infield unless you have an infield pass. Each team will be given three (3) infield passes. Check-in for all running events is at the clerk of course tent located at the start of the 100m dash in the northwest corner of the track. Check-in for field events takes place at the event site. Please turn relay cards in to the announcer s table at least 30 minutes prior to the event..
