GENERAL INFORMATION TEAM INSURANCE Each team is required to carry its own insurance and submit a certificate of insurance to The Ripken Experience prior to the beginning of the tournament. The certificate must list our legal entity, Extra Bases, LLC, as additional insured. The address to our facility is 3051 Ripken Way Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. No team will be allowed to play until we have that information and it is verified. TEAM WAIVER Each team is required to have all of their player s sign a Team Waiver Form. For High School teams, the waiver form must be signed by a parent or guardian. SCHEDULE REQUEST Enclosed please find a schedule request form. Please keep in mind this is only a request. Please return the schedule request form by email or fax no later than Friday, November 17. Individual Team schedules will be ready by Monday, January 22, 2018. NO ALCOHOL OR TOBACCO PRODUCTS Absolutely no alcohol or tobacco products will be permitted inside The Ripken Experience complex. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in being asked to leave from the complex. BIG LEAGUE GRILL / CONCESSIONS The Ripken Experience offers a variety of food and beverage options for your convenience. The Big League Grill in the main building is a great place to grab some hot food including hot dogs, hamburgers, subs, pretzels, chicken tenders and more. Team meal options are available through the Big League Grill. (Enclosed is a preorder team meal form) PRO SHOP / MERCHANDISE The Ripken Experience merchandise will be on sale throughout each tournament. The pro shop will carry a limited amount of spring training t-shirts. Enclosed is a pre-order t-shirt form. BASEBALLS /SOFTBALLS /PRACTICE EQUIPMENT Game balls will be provided by The Ripken Experience for all games. Teams are to bring their own practice balls. Ripken will provide a cooler in each dugout with ice water and cups for each game. All other baseball/ softball and safety equipment is the responsibility of each team. The batting cages are not equipped with electricity. PARKING There is plenty of FREE parking available for all visitors at The Ripken Experience. ADMISSION Admission to all of The Ripken Experience tournaments is included in the entry fee. There will be NO GATE FEE for any of our events! We encourage family and friends to come to the complex to cheer on the athletes and show their support. PARTNER HOTEL INFORMATION Ripkenhotels.com is the exclusive hotel provider for all Ripken Experience tournaments. They have many excellent hotel options to choose from. To view their properties, please follow: http://www.ripkenhotels.com/ SUNFLOWER SEEDS/GUM No Sunflower Seeds or Gum are allowed in the dugouts or on the playing field. Due to all of the fields composed of turf, we have to handpick those substances off the field, and those substances also effect drainage. 4

2018 BASEBALL SPRING TRAINING RULES (Metal Cleats are allowed) NCAA DII & DIII RULES NCAA baseball rules are in effect for all games. All practices will be 2 hours. All NCAA Games will be 9 innings, unless the same two teams play a doubleheader in which case both games will be 7 innings. The grounds crew will get 10 minutes to prepare the field for the game. Each team will get 10 minutes of infield/outfield providing the weather and schedule dictate. Home team will be listed first on the master schedule, and occupy the 1st base dugout. See below for rain procedure JUNIOR COLLEGE RULES All Junior College games will be 7 innings. All practices will be 2 hours. The 10 run rule will be in effect. (After 5 innings, 4 ½ if the home team is winning.) The grounds crew will get 10 minutes to prepare the field for the game. Each team will get 10 minutes of infield/outfield practice providing the schedule and weather dictate. Home team will be listed first on the master schedule, and occupy the 1st base dugout. See below for rain procedure HIGH SCHOOL RULES All HS teams are responsible for adhering to their HS state federations rules and regulations. Questions should be directed to your state association. All games/scrimmages will be governed by the NFHS Rulebook. All games/scrimmages will be 7 innings. All Practices will be 2 hours. The 10 run rule will be in effect. (After 5 innings, 4 ½ if the home team is winning.) Time Limit: There will be a 2 hour and 20 minute time limit on all JV games, all scrimmages, and unofficial games. (No new inning can start after 2:20.) Official Games will have no time limit. The grounds crew will get 10 minutes to prepare the field for the game. Each team will get 10 minutes of infield/outfield practice providing the schedule and weather dictate. Home team will be listed first on the master schedule, and occupy the 1st base dugout. See below for rain procedure RAIN PROCEDURE Although we cannot guarantee rain-outs will be rescheduled, every effort will be made to make up those games based on availability of fields and opponents. We have turf fields, lights, and no curfew so we will play late if need be! Suspended Game: A game that has been stopped at any time because of inclement weather, darkness, or light failure, will be continued from the point of suspension at a date and time to be determined by the site director. Suspended games are official games if 5 innings are completed or if 4½ innings have been played and the home team is ahead. Rain Communication: Text SPRINGTRAINING (one word) to 84483 This will be used as the primary method for disseminating information regarding weather-related delays. You will receive text messages directly to your cell phone regarding schedule updates 5

GENERAL INFORMATION BATTING CAGES There are 17 batting cages on-site at The Ripken Experience. These are not reserved, they are open for teams to use throughout the day. We ask that teams use no more than 2 cages per session. Cages can get busy during pre-game, but they are usually wide open once games start. Please be respectful of other teams so everyone can hit during pre-game. POST GAME MEETING We ask that once your game is over to please clean your dugout and do your post game meeting outside the field of play. This will allow the next teams to start there pre-game without delay, and keep the schedule flowing. PA ANNOUNCERS We will have a Ripken representative at each field to PA Announce, play music, and run the scoreboard. If the previous game runs late, please check with our PA Announcer (press box located behind home plate) regarding a start time. Our PA Announcer will not be the Official Scorekeeper, nor will he/she be keeping Official Stats. Games will not be available through GameChanger through the Ripken Experience. SATELLITE FIELDS The majority of games will take place at the Ripken Experience. However, due to high demand on certain days, teams may be scheduled at a quality off-site/satellite field. Satellite fields used in the past include: Myrtle Beach HS, Socastee HS, Carolina Forest HS, and Grand Park. GRAND PARK AT MARKET COMMONS Is a 9 field, turf complex, located about 20 minutes from the Ripken Experience operated by the City of Myrtle Beach. We were able to secure many dates with the City of Myrtle Beach to use Grand Park throughout the spring. This allows us to schedule many more full field practices and games throughout the spring. www.grandparklive.com Highlights of Grand Park include: 7 Full Fields and 2 softball fields composed of turf Brand New Athalonz Pitching Mounds (Metal Cleats Allowed) 6 Batting Cages On-site Concessions All Games Streamed On-Line ON DECK DIGITAL All games at the Ripken Experience will be streamed on-line through On Deck Digital for 2018 Spring Training. Parents, friends, or family members will be able to catch all of the action live right from their computers, Ipads, or phones! All games will be available at: https://ripken.ondeckdigital.com CHECK IN We ask that all teams please Check In at our Help Desk prior to your first activity once you are on-site at the Ripken Experience. A staff member will be there to greet you and answer any questions you might have. Our Help Desk is located in the Big League Grill (just enter the double doors on your right as soon as you enter the complex). ***Teams may go right to the hotel to check in, it is not mandatory to stop by the Ripken Experience first. The hotel will have all of your lodging information. Once you are onsite at the Ripken Experience, just make sure to stop by our Help Desk. 7

2018 SPRING TRAINING ACCOMMODATIONS MYRTLEWOOD VILLAS CHECK-IN TIME - 4:00PM CHECK OUT TIME - 10:00AM Monday Saturday 7:00am 11:00pm Sunday 7:00am 11:00pm If you are arriving outside of the above hours, the front desk will be closed. You can still check in using the after-hours system. Your keys will be left in the drop box (located on the outside of the Myrtlewood Villas office building). Myrtlewood Villas will make every effort possible to keep teams together, but there is a chance the units will be spread out. A credit card is required at check-in for damage purposes. Any missing items or damages that occur will be charged to the credit card. MWV is a Condo Community, rooms tend to be larger than hotel rooms, with more amenities inside. However, they do not come with daily housekeeping, additional toiletries, etc. Some things you may want to bring: additional towels, personal hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, bath tissue, laundry detergent, and general cleaning supplies. Starter supplies will be provided to get you through the first day or two. They include: two rolls of toilet paper, bath soap, trash bags, two dishwasher packs, and coffee. ROOM SET-UP Each condo unit is fully furnished and includes: Starter Towels (We recommend bringing additional towels) Linens (Pillows, sheets, blankets) Washers and Dryers (Laundry Detergent is not included) Full Kitchen (Microwave, Oven, Utensils, Pots, Pans, etc) 2 Full Bathrooms Indoor/Outdoor Pool Cable Television Your team will be placed in either 2 or 3 bedroom condos depending on your numbers. Each player and coach will have their own bed. 2 bedroom condos - 5 players/per condo (4 twin beds and 1 pullout couch). 3 bedroom condos - 7 players/per condo (6 twin beds and 1 pullout couch). 2 bedroom condo - 2-4 coaches 3 bedroom condo - 5-6 coaches BREAKFAST (served daily from 6am-10am at the restaurant/clubhouse at the golf course.) You will need transportation to get to the clubhouse Breakfast will include: bacon, eggs, biscuits, fruit, cereal, milk, coffee, and juice You will get breakfast tickets when checking into Myrtlewood Villas 8

2018 SPRING TRAINING ACCOMMODATIONS MYRTLEWOOD VILLAS CONTINUED. BUS PARKING - IMPORTANT MWV does have limited bus parking. It is available on a first come, first serve basis. You must arrange this through MWV before arriving. Buses are allowed to pick-up and drop-off on Wild Iris Drive only. Buses must stay on Wild Iris Drive. Under no circumstances can the bus enter other side streets off of Wild Iris Drive. It is recommended that the bus driver stay at a local hotel. This way the bus can park overnight at the hotel and can pick up and drop off at Myrtlewood Villas accordingly. Please contact The Ripken Experience for specific hotel information. Myrtlewood Villas Information Property Information Myrtlewood Villas Resort is made up of 3 subdivisions with approximately 1,500 fully furnished 1, 2 and 3 bedroom condominiums. Only about a third of the units are utilized for vacation rental; the remaining two thirds of the Resort serve as primary residences or 2nd homes. All units are privately owned and furnished. The unique layout of the Resort is helpful in providing guests with a true home-away-from-home look and feel. However, please understand that adjacent units may be hard to come by and not all bedroom types are located in all areas, as not all are available for rental. Examples: 1 bedroom units do not exist near three bedroom unit buildings or subdivisions. Three bedroom units are limited in number in each villa. Check-out 10:00am Check-in Begins at 4:00pm however during busy periods and inclement weather check-in may be delayed up to several hours. Indoor pool and fitness center hours are 9am 9pm Outdoor pool hours are listed on rules and regulation maps and vary with season and sub-division. A major credit card pre-authorization is required upon check-in for incidentals and security deposit.

Housekeeping Services As a condominium resort your unit will have the following services included in the regular rate: Initial set up of the unit with all bed linens supplied and beds made up upon arrival. Please let us know at time of reservation if sofa sleeper sheets will be needed (sofa sleepers are considered short term sleeping arrangements and not recommended for adults) Complete initial towel set up upon arrival if towels would need freshened during your stay each unit is equipped with a washer and dryer for your convenience. Basic starter amenity set up of two rolls of toilet tissue, bath soap, lotion, shampoo, trash bags, coffee, and two single load automatic dishwasher packs. This initial supply is intended for the first one or two days of your stay. Mid-week or Daily Maid service is available for an additional fee and if desired we recommend that you add services to your reservation in advance. What you may want to bring Beach towels for pool or beach (unit towels should not be used at beach or pools). Additional Bath towels. Laundry detergents and supplies for in unit laundry needs. Automatic dishwasher detergent. Dry goods such as salt, pepper, and sugar. Hairdryers and alarm clocks are not provided. Please plan on bringing these items if needed. General cleaning supplies that you want for daily light housekeeping during your stay. i.e. paper towels, all purpose cleaners. Additional Charges and Services All rooms are subject to resort fees, local and state accommodations tax. Housekeeping services are available upon request. BUS DRIVER INFORMATION Welcome to Myrtlewood Villas, below you will find helpful information regarding buses within the Myrtlewood Villas Complex. Buses are not permitted on any secondary road or inside the of the sub-divisions. Roads and Parking areas are not designed for the weight of heavy vehicles. For this reason the Property Owners Associations regulations prohibit buses from entering. Fines or charges may be levied for damages to roads or parking lots by heavy vehicles. For purposes of loading and unloading, buses are permitted on Wild Iris Drive. Please keep in mind that Wild Iris Drive is a city street and parking is prohibited. For your convenience, Myrtlewood Villas has parking for buses. This parking is limited and first come, first served. However, if you call ahead we will mark off an area of parking for added convenience. Parking is located to the right of the Registration Office.
