Colorado Rampage Al Pedersen Mite Classic 8U Jamboree Rules: 1. Age Classification: 8 & Under - Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Only, Birth Years 2009-2012. 2. Location: Monument Ice Rinks - 16240 Old Denver Hwy, Monument, CO 80132 3. Entry Fee: This Jamboree is a sanctioned USA Hockey event and is designed for recreational teams in the U8 classification only. Entry fees are: $500 for U 8 Advanced teams, $500 for U 8 Intermediate teams and $450 for U 8 Beginner teams. All fees must be payable with a money order, Association check or personal check. Entry fee must be paid in full and is nonrefundable once the Jamboree Director accepts the team into the tournament. There will be a maximum of 20 teams allowed 6 Beginner, 8 Intermediate and 6 Advanced. 4. General: a. Current USA Hockey rules shall apply, except as modified below. b. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 6 games (30 minutes per game). c. Spectators will not be assessed a tournament fee entry. d. Locker rooms will be designated for the home and visiting teams. e. All teams should have both light and dark jerseys. Sportsmanship: Colorado Rampage stresses sportsmanship. Fighting, abusive behavior or unsportsmanlike conduct by players, coaches or parents WILL NOT be tolerated on or off the ice. Such conduct will be grounds for disqualification from the jamboree as determined by the jamboree director and/or the site director. Jamboree and/or site director reserve the right to remove anyone from Colorado Sports Center whose actions are detrimental to fair play and sportsmanship. 5. Credentials: Team credentials will be checked during team check in 1 hour prior to your team s first game. Managers must present team credentials in the form of official USA Hockey rosters. Teams not able to present team credentials may be asked to forfeit their schedule until such credentials are presented for review by the jamboree director, site director or assistant jamboree director. 6. Game Format: Advanced and Intermediate games will be played 4 4 with a goalie on half ice. The start of the game will consist of a 2 minute warm up and a running 28 minute period with a buzzer at set intervals for a line change. No time outs are permitted and each team will supply one coach on the ice to referee and will have one coach on the bench at all times. No score will be kept. Game pucks (blue) will be provided. Beginner games will be played 4 4 with someone in net on third ice and consist of a 2 minute warm up and a running 28 minute period. There will be a buzzer every two minutes for a line change. Each team will play 6 games. No time outs are permitted. Each team is
required to have a coach on the ice during games. For Advanced games there will be referees, U14 and older players (USA Hockey registered), provided. No score will be kept. Game pucks (blue) will be provided. This will count as three games toward your CAHA game count. 7. Awards: Individual participation items will be given to the team managers at check in for all participants. 8. Benches: Only USA Hockey certified coaches and players are allowed on the bench. All players on the bench must wear a helmet including a full face mask pursuant to the USA Hockey rules. 9. Damage to Rinks and their facilities: The repair and replacement costs involved with any damage done to any property at the ice arena will be the responsibility of the team(s) of the individual(s) causing such damage. Immediate arrangements for restitution must be made and violations of this rule are cause for removal from the jamboree. Each team is responsible for the cleanliness of the locker room after use. Consumption of food or beverage is not allowed in the locker rooms. 10. Reporting Times: Teams must be ready to play 15 minutes prior to scheduled game time. Teams must follow the USA Hockey SafeSport Locker Room Policy. 11. Disputes/Refusal to Play/Pointstreak: There are no protests for game times. There should be no disputes over results as score is not kept. If a team refuses to play a scheduled game, their payment will be forfeited and removed from the tournament for all remaining games. No games will be posted to Pointstreak. 12. Travel permits will be required/checked for all teams from an affiliate requiring travel permits and all non US teams.
