I hope everyone had a wonderful summer holiday the weather was very nice what with not being too hot and getting lots of rain. I believe those of you who are green thumbs had a really good growing season this year! Greetings to all ADN Subscribers/Readers! For sure, you all have enjoyed your summer season and are ready for our upcoming and busy fall season of Deaf community activities at EADCC or in our City of Edmonton, especially for the brand new Rogers Place Arena of exciting NHL Oilers season as well as Eskimos team doing pretty well for another chance - 2nd successive CFL Grey Cup Team Champion this year. Hand waves for you all!!! The new EAD board met again on Monday, August 29th to be well prepared for our 1st year of the 2016-18 term and we all are eagerly looking forward to seeing and welcoming all EAD members and friends of the Deaf community to attend our first general meeting on Monday, September 12th at 7 pm. There are some key issues being finalized and proceeded as follows; 1) EAD s 65th Anniversary Banquet - relocated at EADCC and rescheduled on Saturday, Oct. 15th - for more info, see revised and updated flyer. 2) EAD Seniors Club proceeded to host the Annual Corn Roast party at EADCC on Saturday, Sept. 17th - more info via flyer. 3) Youth Club s special general meeting for establishing new guidelines, board election/youth director at EADCC on Friday, Sept. 23rd at 8 pm. 4) ADN s 4-month Calendar Plan relating to EAD s activities for your info/awareness well in advance. Many Thanks for your keen interests/supports for EAD/Deaf community in Edmonton! The EAD board and myself are eagerly looking forward to work with you all for our wonderful and progressive 2-year term. Don t forget to re-new your EAD Membership which is due by September 1st, 2016 and be ready for getting involved with our several exciting events in September & October to attend and support!
