` PAUL JOBSON HEAD COACH 10TH SEASON PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE (SC), 1999 Paul Jobson is a National A licensed coach beginning his 10th season at Baylor and third as head coach after spending the 2013-14 seasons as co-head coach with his wife and current volunteer assistant coach, Marci. During his time at Baylor, Jobson has helped guide the Bears to some of their best seasons in recent memory. Since arriving at Baylor in 2008, he has played a significant role in leading the Bears to some of the most successful seasons in BU history, culminating in the program s first Big 12 Championship title and deepest run in the NCAA Tournament with a 2012 Sweet 16 appearance. Finishing with the highest ranking and best record (19-1-5) in program history, the 2012 squad ended its Sweet 16 run with the 11th spot in the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Poll. In 2016, the Bears posted a 12-7-1 record and 4-3-1 in Big 12, marking eight-straight seasons with at least eight wins. BU reached 12 or more wins for the first time since 2012 and the third time in the last six years. In year two under Jobson, the Bears improved from 32 percent to 40 percent in shutout percentages, marking the sixth time in the last seven years that the team has blanked its opponents in 40 percent or more contests. Julie James earned NCSAA All-Central Region third team, the first such selection for Baylor since 2012 and the 13th selection in program history. James was joined by Lauren Piercy as All-Big 12 selections, the first time the Bears have had two all-conference selections since 2012. Raegan Padgett marked the third straight season BU has had a Big 12 All-Freshman selection and the program logged 13 Academic All-Big 12 honorees, marking the 10th-straight season with at least 10 selections. In the 2015 campaign, the Bears moved into a new $3.3 million home in the Williams Family Soccer Center on Aug. 20. During the season, BU posted a 9-6-4 record with a 4-1-2 mark in Big 12 play to tie for the program s second highest league finish (second place). The team s four Big 12 wins marked the most since the 2012 season. Coach Jobson earned his first-ever win as a Division I head coach on Sept. 6 at Incarnate Word (7-1). The Bears went undefeated in 12 of their last 14 matches to end the season. Among on-field honors in 2015, Lauren Piercy gave BU its first-ever end-of-season award from the league by being named Co-Big 12 Freshman of the Year, in addition to being a second-team All-Big 12 selection and one of a program-record and league-high four Big 12 All-Freshman Team choices. In 2014, BU went 9-8-3 and ended on a high note with a good run at the 2014 Big 12 Championship as the No. 7 seed, knocking out No. 2 seed Oklahoma State in a 1-0 decision before falling on penalty kicks to No. 6 seed Oklahoma. Baylor s run in the league tournament marked the second-straight year beating a higher seeded team. Along with earning the NSCAA 2013-14 Team Academic Award with a 3.55 team GPA, the Bears also led the league in Academic All-Big 12 selections for the fourth-straight year with 13 honorees. The 2013 season saw Baylor surpass the 10-win mark for the fourth-straight season -- the first such run since the program did so five-straight years from 1996-00. Additionally, BU set program records for most matches without a loss (31), most home matches without a loss (17) and most consecutive home wins (14). Perhaps the highlight of the season was getting off to a hot start to earn a No. 9 ranking in the NSCAA poll on Sept. 3, 2013 (the program s highest-ever ranking by the NSCAA). The 2011-12 seasons resulted in unprecedented success as the Bears posted 15 or more wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history and advanced past the NCAA Tournament first round both times, another program first. In 2011, Jobson led the Bears to their then-second-most wins (15) in school history and most Big 12 wins (6) since 2000. BU was also selected for the NCAA Championship for the first time since 1999. Once in the 64-team field, Baylor earned its first NCAA win with a 3-0 victory over Texas State at Betty Lou Mays Field. In 2010, Jobson assisted in turning BU into an 11-win team, the most victories since 1999. In addition, the defense put up the lowest goal against average in program history (0.81). Much of the success on the field by the Jobsons can be credited to their emphasis on man-marking defense, which has resulted in six of the program s lowest goals allowed averages. The 2012 team set the record by only allowing 0.53 goals per game. The other six seasons were also under one goal per game (0.95 in 2009, 0.81 in 2010, 0.79 in 2011, 0.63 in 2013, 0.77 in 2014, and 0.89 in 2015) -- prior to 2009, the program only had one season with an average under 1.15 goals allowed in 1998 (0.98) in Baylor s third-ever soccer season (program began in 1996). Consequently, BU racked up nine or more shutouts from 2010-14 for a program record. The last time the Bears had a similar streak was in their first three seasons (10 shutouts in 1996, nine in 1997, 11 in 1998). The Conyers, Ga., native was a three-year letterman at Presbyterian College in South Carolina and was a member of the squad which made the school s first NCAA Division II Championship appearance. The Blue Hose compiled a 17-3-1 ledger, which included the South Atlantic Conference regular season and postseason tourney championships. Jobson helped Presbyterian to a 15-4-3 mark and regular season and conference tournament titles during the 1996 campaign. The following season, he was part of a team that notched 11 victories before opting to begin his coaching career as a senior. During his senior season at PC, Jobson served as a student assistant coach while finishing his bachelor s degree in accountancy in 1999. Upon graduation, Jobson moved into a role as assistant men s soccer coach and assistant sports information director at Presbyterian until he left to work for his family s business a year later. In 2002, Jobson resumed his work in soccer when he took a position with the Atlanta Beat of the WUSA (women s professional soccer league). In his role with the team, Jobson was able to work in many different facets of the soccer world, including promotion, youth soccer development and game day operations. Jobson s duties with the Beat ranged from serving as an account executive to being program director for youth player development, co-producer of the Atlanta Beat Road Show, and manager of the ajcjobs.com kickback zone. There he also met his future bride, Marci Miller, who was playing for the team. Throughout his soccer experiences, Jobson turned sports administration duties into his specialty, routinely taking on the tasks of fund-raising, budgets and camps. A graduate of Salem High School, Jobson has also served as the Soccer Director and Program Supervisor for the Snellville (Ga.) Parks and Recreation Department as well as the Athletic Coordinator for Recreation and Select Soccer for the Alpharetta (Ga.) Recreation and Parks Department. In 2005, Jobson served as the junior varsity soccer coach at Milton High School in Alpharetta, Ga., where he guided one of the best JV programs in the state. Jobson also served as the Executive Director of the Atlanta Youth Soccer Association. In 2005, Jobson earned his USSF National `B license. Prior to Baylor, Jobson was on the Northern Illinois staff as an assistant coach from 2005-06 and was named associate head coach for the 2007 season. During his tenure, Jobson helped lead NIU from five wins his first season to 10 wins in 2007. 24

@BaylorFutbol The 1999 Presbyterian (S.C.) graduate married Marci Jobson in August 2004. Marci is currently a volunteer assistant coach in the Baylor program. In his nine seasons at Baylor, Codd has helped the Bears become one of the NCAA s best defensive squads. As a team, BU has posted eight of the program s lowest goals against averages in the last eight seasons, including the lowest mark in 2012 (0.53). The mark led the Big 12, was third in the NCAA and produced a program-record 13 shutouts. The defense played a large role in Baylor earning its first Big 12 Championship title and deepest run in the NCAA Tournament with a Sweet 16 appearance in 2012. Working primarily with the goalies in 2013, Codd s group gave up 13 goals -- one less than 2012 s program-record 14 goals allowed and its 13 shutouts tied 2012 s single-season school record. Along the way, goalie starter Michelle Kloss 11 shutouts in 2013 set a new Baylor single-season record as she had the third-longest scoreless streak in school history at 439:17 minutes. Kloss ranked second in the NCAA in goals against average (0.65) and third in NCAA save percentage (.817), while ranking second in the Big 12 in goals against average and shutouts and fourth in save percentage. Under Codd s tutelage, Kloss led the Big 12 in 2012 and ranked eighth in the NCAA in goals against average (0.55), setting the Baylor single-season record. She also ranked sixth in the Big 12 in save percentage (.791), which ranked ninth on the all-time single season list at Baylor. Along the way, she posted nine shutouts to lead the Big 12 and ranked second on the Baylor single season list. The Bears allowed a then-program-low 14 goals on the season. In 2011, Codd was instrumental in helping Courtney Seelhorst post the then-second lowest goals against average in program history (0.80). The senior also recorded 10 shutouts under Codd s watch, while the team as a whole tied the then-program record for the most shutouts in a season with 11. BU only allowed 18 goals on the year in 22 games for a 0.82 goals against average. In 2010, BU surrendered the fewest goals (16) in Baylor history at the time. He also guided Seelhorst to eight solo shutouts on the year, which at the time tied her with Dawn Greathouse for second in most solo shutouts in a season. In addition, her 0.812 goals against average on the year ranks her fourth all-time for goals against average in a season at BU. During his one season at Northern Illinois, Codd helped NIU to post the program s best record since 1998 at 10-5-5 and advanced to the MAC Tournament semifinals for the second consecutive year. Prior to Northern Illinois, Codd served as the girls team director for the Chicago Sockers club team based in Palatine. Prior to that role, he was an assistant coach at Northwestern for four seasons, working one year with the men s program and the final three with the women s team. As a professional soccer player, Codd won three national championships with the Chicago Stingers/Sockers outdoor team from 1997-00. Prior to his outdoor stint, Codd spent seven seasons playing for the Chicago Power, Cincinnati Silverbacks and Buffalo Blizzard of the NPSL. Codd s experience includes being a coach for the Celtics Club in St. Charles, Ill., for three years and one year at St. Charles High School. In addition, he spent two years coaching with the Tophat girls club in Atlanta. A native of Torrance, Calif., Codd is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in history. While a prep at South Torrance High, he played for the Fram Culver Club. Codd is married to Charmaine Hooper, a former member of the Canadian National Team who was regarded as one of the world s top women s soccer players. The couple has a daughter, Charlie. 25

MATT SMITH ASSISTANT COACH FIRST SEASON SOUTH CAROLINA, 2009 Matt Smith is in his first season at Baylor as he left his post as head women s soccer coach at Limestone College (Gaffney, South Carolina) to become an assistant coach for the Bears on Jan. 9, 2017. We are extremely excited to welcome Matt and his wife Heather to the Baylor family, BU head coach Paul Jobson said. I have known them both for many years and have seen Matt develop into a phenomenal coach. How he approaches the game and how he pours into student-athletes is a perfect fit for our program as we continue to produce excellence in the classroom and on the soccer field. Smith works with the goalkeepers and aids in recruiting for Baylor. While at Limestone, Smith became the program s all-time winningest coach with an impressive 80-38-10 record in seven years. The Saints had just four winning seasons in the 20 years prior to his arrival, and Smith notched 10 or more wins five times. Under Smith s guidance, the Saints broke the program record for most wins in a season three times (2011, 2015 and 2016) while five of his teams rank at the top of the Limestone record book for most wins in a year. The Saints achieved their best seasons in program history in 2016 with an 18-2 mark. In 2015, he guided Limestone to its first Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship and the program s first NCAA Tournament appearance. The Saints added a regular season title in 2016, and followed that up with a second consecutive tournament crown and NCAA appearance. Named the 2016 Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year, Smith mentored four All-Americans while at Limestone and coached 38 all-conference selections and 19 All-Southeast Region recipients. During his seven years in Gaffney, the Saints had a student-athlete named Conference Carolinas Player of the Year four times and Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year twice. Smith s teams also excelled in the classroom, earning three NSCAA Team Academic Awards, while overseeing the first player in team history to be named NSCAA Scholar All-American following the 2015 campaign. Prior his time at Limestone, Smith spent five seasons as the assistant women s soccer coach at Presbyterian College. His duties included working with the goalkeepers, while also helping with recruiting and making travel plans for the team. Smith played an instrumental part in helping PC make the transition from an NCAA Division II to a Division I member institution and for the program to gain membership into the Big South Conference. During Presbyterian s first season at the DI level, he helped lead the team to a 6-7-1 overall mark after the Blue Hose closed out the regular season with three straight wins over VMI, High Point and Radford. Before starting his coaching career, Smith played one season with the Nashville Metros of the Professional Development League (PDL) and guided the team to an 18-11 record. He earned TransSouth All-Freshman honors while at Trevecca Nazarene University before transferring to Cumberland University for his final two seasons of eligibility. In high school, Smith was considered a Top-50 player in South Carolina after leading Irmo High School to a state championship during his senior year. The Columbia, S.C., native is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and has coached with the South Carolina Olympic Development Program and the Columbia United Football Club. He holds a NSCAA National and State goalkeeping license. Smith graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor of arts in history in 2009. 26

@BaylorFutbol HANNA GILMORE VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT COACH FIRST SEASON BAYLOR, 2012 JUSTINE HOVDEN DIRECTOR OF SOCCER OPERATIONS SECOND SEASON BAYLOR, 2015 Hanna Gilmore is entering her first season as the volunteer assistant coach at Baylor, joining the soccer staff in July 2017. She was a four-year letterwinner under the Jobsons at Baylor from 2009-2012, leaving the program with the sixth-most goals scored in BU history (23). Gilmore helped lead the Bears to the program s first Big 12 title and two trips to the NCAA Tournament. Gilmore went on from Baylor to play professionally in the National Women s Soccer League (NWSL), landing with the Chicago Red Stars for the league s inaugural season in 2013 and the Boston Breakers in 2014. She then took her talents overseas, playing with Apollon FC in Cyprus in 2014, before returning stateside to coach club ball in the Houston area. Gilmore graduated from Baylor in 2013 with a bachelor s degree in business adminstration in marketing and entrepreneurship. She is currently enrolled at Truett Seminary in the sports ministry program. Justine Hovden is entering her second season as the director of soccer operations. She joined the Baylor staff in January 2016, transitioning to the soccer staff after a decorated career as a student-athlete for the Bears. A key piece to Jobson s roster as a forward from 2011-2014, Hovden closed out her Baylor playing career with a banner senior season, leading the team in points and game-winning goals. Her three assists vs. Incarnate Word in 2014 notched her place as the third player in program history to achieve that mark in a single match. Hovden s main duties include handling a portion of the program s business responsibilities, team travel, apparel and equipment. Hovden also coordinates communication with the Legacy membership -- the Baylor soccer booster club -- and assists the Baylor staff with youth and coaching clinics throughout the year. Hovden graduated from Baylor in 2015 with a bachelor s degree in psychology. 27
