REGISTRATION INFORMATION Registration is located in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in the ticket office lobby for both teams and coaches. Teams must have their music uploaded and PPC submitted prior to registering the teams. Teams that skate under IJS scoring, will be required to sign off on the submitted PPC. Teams will receive credentials for all skaters on the competition roster, two credentials for Team Managers, lanyards, skater bags and pre- purchased pins/programs. For cross skaters, their lanyard and skater bag will be included with the first team that is scheduled to compete. We are not selling or distributing additional chaperone credentials. Coaches must show identification and be compliant before they will receive their bag and credential. Compliance verification can be done by visiting the Information for Clubs page under Coaches on the U.S. Figure Skating website. There is a 2017-2018 Compliance PDF where all coaches are listed along with their compliance items. CREDENTIALS/TICKETS/RULES Veterans Memorial Coliseum Tickets are required to watch Competitions and Official Practice Ice. Athletes and credentialed officials will enter at the North Stage Door through the North Stage Parking Lot. Team buses will drop athletes at the North Stage Lot on Winning Way. The athletes will have access to any of the event level areas approved by their credential and the concourse level. They will access the main competition rink, warm-up area and locker rooms from this entry point. This door will open 90 minutes prior to start of practice each day. Arena Access Ticket Holders: Doors open one hour prior to the start of the first practice on each day, Wednesday - Saturday. Venue Bag Policy No bags larger than 14 inches wide, by 14 inches tall and 6 inches deep and NO BACKPACKS will be allowed into the venues through the main gates with the exception that credentialed athletes can enter through Gate 10 with skate bags. No bag search needed for athletes/officials with credentials who enter through North Stage Door or Gate 10 at the main entrance. Re-Entry Policy Spectators with tickets can come and go through the main entrance during the duration of the scheduled events with a hand stamp. Unofficial Practice Ice Venues Athletes, Coaches, Team Managers will need to present credentials to gain access to the rink getting to the locker room or ice. Tickets are not needed to view Unofficial Practice Ice. SPECTATOR SEATING Veterans Memorial Coliseum All seating is general admission. There is no seating behind the judges stand in sections 113, 114 and 115. All persons will need either a ticket or credential to watch competition events. Unofficial Practice Ice Venues Persons wishing to watch UPI can do so from the stands in the practice facilities. MERCHANDISE Pin & Program Pre-orders Any team or skater pre-purchasing pins or programs will be given in the team registration packet. Pre-order for pins and programs is now closed. Pin & Program Sales Remaining pins and programs will be sold through at the Event Information Booth located on the concourse between entries AA & BB. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. Official Event Merchandise Our official event merchandise provider is Northwest Designs. They will be selling event merchandise on the main concourse across from entry RR. 3

They cannot stand on the Judges Stand Unofficial Practice Coaches can stand where convenient to speak with the team and music person. Competition Coaches can stand by the boards by the ice exit. Coaches can walk across the arena floor to the Kiss and Cry area when the team takes the ice. For Competition: Teams must exit their locker room at the designated time. If you compete close to an awards ceremony, you can check in with the Team Attendant or you will be told if you can stay in the locker room you are currently in. Do not expect to stay in the same locker room. 4
6.0 Events will be allowed to stand on the ice at the wall prior to their names being called to compete. These teams will also be allowed to stop at the kiss and cry before exiting the arena for a photo. Warm-Up Information: Located on the event level in the Exhibit Hall. All teams much check in/out with the volunteer located at the entrance to the Exhibit Hall. Team Attendants will take team to the locker room for Competition. Teams are not being placed next to each other, rather being rotated to every other warm-up slot allowing teams space to move and play music. There are nine warm-up areas in this large space but they are not divided by physical walls. Please be respectful of other teams also using the area. UPI Process The current schedule is posted on the event website. If your team does not wish to use their allotted practice ice sessions, you must contact Candice Coleman at 503-481-3921. Teams are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to their scheduled unofficial practice session for off-ice warmups. Teams must provide their own music for UPI sessions. If you plan to play your music through the house system at unofficial practice, you will need a CD COPY of your music. You are welcome to bring your Boom Box or Bluetooth speaker to use during unofficial practice. Teams will be announced to take the ice at the beginning of their time slot. Teams will be given a 5 minute and 1 minute warnings of their ending time. Teams need to promptly exit otherwise they may forfeit all future sessions. Teams are asked to check locker rooms for any trash or personal items before they leave. It is not guaranteed that items left in the locker room will get into a lost & found. Warm-Up Information at UPI: Check in with either the lobby greeter or rink access volunteer to determine which warm-up area and locker room you are assigned to for your UPI session. 5
VETERANS MEMORIAL COLISEUM FOOD POLICIES 1. Concession Stands will be open on the concourse level of the area for all spectators and competitors to purchase food. The stands will be offering the following; one salad and one wrap option that will change daily. Examples include chopped salad, quinoa salad, kale salad, chicken Caesar wrap, veggie/hummus wrap and grilled beef wraps. Other items available include chips, pizza, a coffee stand and general arena concessions fare such as popcorn, hotdogs and nachos. 2. Team Dining Area There will be a space adjacent to the team warm up area on the event level where teams can eat food they bring with them to the venue. This is only for teams, not spectators. This food can only be brought into the venue through the competitor entrance. Credentials are required to access this area. Outside food cannot leave this area. You cannot take food from this area to the stands, locker rooms or anywhere else in the venue. Food cannot be delivered to the arena, it will need to arrive with your team and a chaperone can take it directly to the designated Team Dining Area. We ask that teams are courteous and help us keep this dining area clean and free of trash. Teams are allowed to bring food into all of the unofficial practice ice facilities. There will be a concession stand open at those facilities too. COACHES HOSPITALITY There is a hospitality area on the event level offering coffee, tea, water and light snacks for coaches on Thursday through Saturday. PARKING & TRANSPORTATION Veterans Memorial Coliseum Athletes will be dropped off and picked up at the North Stage Lot and enter through the North Stage Door. There is parking for team buses and oversized vehicles in the Benton Lot directly across from the North Stage Lot. Parking for vehicles is in the East and West Broadway Garages and the Garden Garage. TRAFFIC Please be aware that Portland traffic will likely delay your transport time during weekday mornings and afternoons, especially on Friday. Please allow plenty of extra time, particularly if you are coming from a hotel or practice venue outside of the downtown area. TRANSPORTATION Transportation information, including info about our official bus transportation provider, Northwest Navigator, is now available on our website. We will be in direct contact with our preferred provider during the competition regarding any transportation challenges. If you are not using the preferred provider you are responsible for contacting the Event Director, Candice Coleman, at 503-481-3921 with any transportation emergencies. Please note that on Saturday afternoon and evening there is an event at the Moda Center adjacent to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. There will be traffic congestion in the area so please plan you travel accordingly. If you need assistance regarding transportation needs on Saturday please let us know. AWARDS All teams placing 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, or 4 th in championship events are invited to participate in the awards ceremony on ice. The awards staging area is located next to the team photo area on the event level. Timing is tight to allow for on-ice awards. Please be aware and respectful of the awards schedule outlined below as well as the following guidelines for the awards ceremonies. Arrive in the Awards Staging area at your designated time fully dressed. There are limited dressing room spaces available in the awards staging area. Designate a maximum of two representatives to stand on the podium. During the awards ceremony, teams will skate to center ice, take a bow towards the Judges Stand FIRST, and then turn to bow towards the audience. Skaters will around the carpet and line up behind their podium placement. Medals will be first awarded to the team representatives on the podium. These skaters will remain on the podium as medals are presented to the rest of their team behind them. A trophy will then be awarded to the first place team. The photographer will direct teams off of the podium to take their official photos. All teams will take their official photos with KRPhotogs (available for purchase on the concourse), then be given the remaining time in their ceremony to take on ice photos at the kiss and cry end of the ice surface. Teams will exit the ice via the competition entrance door when their ceremony has concluded. Please exit the ice in a timely manner so we may begin the following ceremony or ice make.
