EVENT KIT Have you ever wondered what stuffed animals do while their human companions are away? In I m Afraid Your Teddy Is in Trouble Today, author Jancee Dunn and illustrator Scott Nash bring to life an imaginative story of an adorably fun but mischievous teddy bear who gets himself into trouble when he invites his stuffed animal pals over to play. In this kit, you ll find seven creative activities to keep young readers engaged with the book, including ideas for throwing a teddythemed party, drawing and puzzle exercises, and even an activity to create an original teddy tale. So grab your favorite stuffed animal for some fun but be sure to keep it out of trouble! Illustrations copyright 2017 by Scott Nash

Throw a Teddy Party! Teddy knows how to have a good time, even if it lands him in trouble! Below are a few fun ideas for a teddy-themed party. Teddy Mayhem! Have your guests bring their favorite stuffed animals and engage in some of the activities that take place in the book. Place rolls of paper on the walls and have the guests and their stuffed animals create artwork, or bring out some clothes so the animals can make costumes. Decorating Extravaganza! Everyone knows a good party needs some great snacks! Grab some fun toppings, like sprinkles, whipped cream, frosting, and chocolate sauce, and have your guests decorate pancakes or cookies for a sweet treat. If you want to have Teddy s favorite, you ll need chocolate-chipand-blueberry pancakes with rainbow sprinkles, cherries, and whipped cream! Dance-a-Thon! Turn up the tunes and let your guests dance to their favorite songs with their stuffed animals. Just make sure the music isn t too loud, or the neighbors might call the police on Teddy... again! Bubble-Rama! Teddy and his friends love bubbles they used bubble bath to hold a sliding contest during their party! Let your guests swim in bubbles of their own by giving out small bottles of bubbles and having the kids blow bubbles in the party space. Combine with the dance-a-thon to have a real bubbly time!
