International Guests from India This week we had some international guests from Chennai Chepauk Centennial Rotary Club, in India. The President, Sreedhar and past president, sathya explained the links between Bunbury and Inida and some of their major projects. Sanitation, water, literacy and schools in poverty area were some of their main projects. It was interesting to note that the government provides plasma TVs to families at the expense of toilets. The Chennai Rotary club are hoping to strike a sister arrangement with Bunbury RC and perhaps other Bunbury clubs to commence putting toilets into small groups of housing. One hundred dollars goes a long way in India and Sreedhar said the local people would also have to work to build and maintain the toilets.
