KHSAA Scoresheet
Refer to the bottom left corner of the scoresheet. There is a Key to all the symbols used during a set
Complete the top section of the scoresheet Visitor playing in a scheduled 7:30 pm Varsity match - this is the first set of the match Visitor --20 High 7:30 pm
Referee will inform scorekeeper which bench the home team has selected Scorekeeper will write the team names on the score sheet according to the side the team will be on during the set (game) After the coin toss the referee will inform the scorekeeper of which team will be serving first
Team names are written on the score sheet as the teams are on the court. In this set Visitor is on the scorekeepers left and is on the scorekeepers right. Visitor will have first serve. Place an X in the First Serve box. Visitor --20 High 7:30 pm Visitor X
For the second set of the match the teams will switch sides. Team names are again written on the score sheet as the teams are on the court. This time would serve first. Visitor --20 High 7:30 pm X Visitor
Referee will collect the line up sheets from each team Scorekeeper records the numbers of the starting players of each team on the scoresheet from the line up sheet submitted under Player No. Each square on the scoresheet represents one play or action such as a serve, substitution or a time out

The running score column is marked as the game progresses. When there is a discrepancy between the running score column and the individual scores, the individual score is considered official.

Be sure the correct player number is serving Check the player # every time a server goes back to serve If not the correct player number serving notify the referee immediately there is a wrong server Remember they are not the wrong server until they contact the ball for serve

Visitor # serves two points. request a substitution. #2 for #23. On the service line for substitution opponent, the number of the player coming in before / then the player number leaving. The player number coming in is then written in the players numbers column by the player number leaving the game. Visitor serves 2 more points. A Red Card Penalty is given to Visitor #3. A comment is written in the Comments section and Visitor loses the serve. P-1 is written on the service line of the Visitor team showing the penalty. On the team P2 is written to show point #2 was given due to a penalty. What Goes in the Comments Section? Warning Yellow Card = Y#12Team name(7-6) When writing the score it is the score at the time the card is given the team score receiving the card is place first, then the other teams score No Penalty assessed with a yellow card Penalty Red Card = R#3Team name(7-3) Loss of rally/point awarded to opponent Disqualification =Yellow &Red Card = DQ#Team name(-1) Loss of rally/point awarded to opponent Uniform/Equipment Violations = E#Team name (3-0) means a player attempted/or discovered with illegal equipment in the game Team charged a time out Unconscious player Exceptional Substitution
Remember all cards carry over from set to set throughout the match
#2 serves three points. Visitor calls a time out. Tx is written on the service line of the current server when the time out is called.
