OUR RACE GIVES US STRENGTH. SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 2015 Susan G. Komen Baton Rouge Race for the Cure SATURDAY, MARCH 7, 2015 LSU OLD FRONT NINE

GREETINGS FROM SUSAN G. KOMEN BATON ROUGE! Susan G. Komen Baton Rouge Race for the Cure is our area s annual call to action in the fight against breast cancer. We are excited to offer you the opportunity to participate as a sponsor for the 2015 Race. Since 1996, Komen Baton Rouge has invested $3.4 million to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment. To date, an additional $1 million in Affiliate funds have been dedicated towards research to find the cures. Your sponsorship dollars will provide a critical platform, allowing the 19th annual Race for the Cure to reach new fundraising heights. Since Louisiana has one of the highest rates of breast cancer deaths these funds are vital in saving lives of women in our ten-parish area. We need local business and industry partners, we need you, to help us remove our state from a top this list. Support of Race for the Cure makes good business sense. The buying public is becoming increasingly socially conscious and has begun to proactively match their dollars with those who support the causes that they find important. Named as the best running event/race in the area, the Komen Baton Rouge Race hosted approximately 12,000 attendees from throughout the Greater Baton Rouge area at last year s Race. Therefore, you should find that a sponsorship with Race for the Cure offers an opportunity to have your name associated with a number of brand-loyal participants. More importantly, a Race sponsorship allows your business the opportunity to participate in the fight against breast cancer as well as honor employees, co-workers, and customers who are breast cancer survivors. Thank you for considering our request. We hope that you will join us as we honor the Komen promise to save lives and end breast cancer! Sincerely, Angela Miller Executive Director Sponsorship Information 2015 2

WE LIVE HERE. WE SAVE LIVES HERE. Meet Mindy! $3.4 MILLION $1 MILLION Education Survivor Support Screening Treatment Research *Since 1996 Our Local Investment for 2013-2014 Community Health Grants Our grant awards helped provide services to the following number of people: 2878 Mammograms 391 Clinical breast exams 260 Medication and Transportation Assistance 244 Breast Diagnostic Services 120 Lymphedema Support Group 75 Healthy Steps Exercise Program Breast cancer education for healthcare providers and the community All smiles, Mindy LaBauve holds up four fingers to indicate the completion of her fourth round of chemotherapy. Mindy found love and strength from her family, but also an unexpected source of hope and encouragement with other breast cancer survivors. She remembers her first encounter with Race for the Cure. It was only days before my scheduled lumpectomy. I was overwhelmed when I got to the Survivors Tent. There was so much love! I instantly knew that these people understood my struggle. Wanting to share the same kind of support she receives from her breast cancer sisters, Mindy now volunteers with Komen Baton Rouge. It is so important that we help provide funding for breast health education for all and screening for those who are uninsured. Early detection is the key to saving lives! Public Education Komen Baton Rouge distributed over 20,000 pieces of breast health education literature. Advocacy Komen Baton Rouge along with other Louisiana Komen Affiliates successfully advocated for continued funding of the Louisiana Breast and Cervical Health Program. Because of our efforts, $2.4 million remains dedicated to uninsured Louisiana women. Survivorship In all things, we support and celebrate breast cancer survivorship. Our network of survivors and those deeply affected by breast cancer fuel our mission. Komen Baton Rouge Service Area W. Feliciana E.
