For Swiss competitors e amendments of Swiss Sailing to e Eligibility Code will apply. 4.3 The person in charge of a boat shall be a member of e Star Class Association. Page 2 / 7
5 Advertising 5.1 Advertising will be permitted in accordance wi class rules, ISAF Advertising Code Regulation 20 and Swiss Sailing Regulations of Advertising. 5.2 Advertising of e Main Sponsor of e Event on e boats is possible (ISAF Advertising Code, Regulation 20.4) 6 Entry 6.1 Entries shall be submitted using e official Entry Form, completely filled out. The following documents shall be enclosed to e Entry Form: - Measurement Certificate wi Weight Certificate. - Proof of club membership or license. - Proof of ird-party liability insurance 2011. - Proof of approval for advertising. 6.2 The Entry Form shall be submitted to: 6.3 Deadline for Entries: st Entries shall be received by e Organizing Auority not later en 1 June 2011 (post stamp). Last warning signal Prize giving party, closing ceremony 7.2 Scheduled Races: - The Championship will be sailed wi a maximum of 6 valid races. - To constitute e Championship, at least 4 valid races shall be sailed during e scheduled time. - At any day no more an 3 valid races will be sailed, except at at only one day 4 valid races can be sailed. - If 4 or more valid races are sailed until Saturday evening, 1 race only is scheduled on Sunday. 8 Measurement 8.1 The check of e Measurement Certificates and measurements will take place in e tent next to e Clubhouse. 8.2 No first measurements will be carried out. 9 Scoring 9.1 The Low Point Scoring System of Appendix A RRS will apply. 9.2 If 4 or more valid races have been completed, a boat s series score will be e total of her race scores excluding her worst score. 10 Prizes 10.1 The following prizes will be awarded: - Championship Medals for e first 3 boats - Prizes for e first 10 boats - Souvenirs for each competitor 11 Mooring and Parking 11.1 For every boat a suitable place will be provided by e harbor master or e organizer. Arrangements of e harbor master or e organizers shall be biding. 11.2 Parking permits will be distributed during registration. Cars and trailers of participants will only parked at assigned areas. Arrangements of e organizers will be binding. 11.3 Parking of caravans or mobile homes at e club parking area is not allowed. 12 Support boats 12.1 Support boats shall be registered at e Race Office before e beginning of e event. Auorization for e navigation on e waters must be obtained from e participants emselves. A valid ird-party liability insurance shall be produced at request. 12.2 Support boats will be part of e security arrangements for e event. Page 4 / 7
13 Social Events 13.1 The following events will be organized: Wednesday, 20 July: Official opening ceremony in e inner city of Thoune Friday, 22 July: 100 Years Star Class Celebration Party at e Thunersee-Yachtclub Saturday, 23 July: Sailors party at e Thunersee-Yachtclub 13.2 Registration for ese events must be submitted enclosed to e Entry Form. 14 Doping 14.1. Competitors are reminded of rule 5 and ISAF Regulation 21 Anti Doping Rule and Anti Doping Code, which ban e use of drugs. Drugs testing may take place during e event in accordance wi rules of Antidoping Switzerland / Swiss Olympic 15 Liability and Insurance 15.1 Competitors participate in e regatta entirely at eir own risk (RRS rule 4 - Decision to race). The organizing auority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or dea sustained in conjunction wi or prior to, during or after e regatta. 15.2 Each participating boat shall be insured wi valid ird-party liability insurance wi adequate cover per event (min. 1,5 Mio CHF or min. 1,0 Mio Euro) and valid for racing. 16 Accommodation and Food supply 16.1 For information about accommodation see our championship website www.sm2011.starfleet-tb.ch.
